Dr. Jackson made my first year enjoyable. She is an absolutely amazing prof. she is super interesting and funny. Love her !!!!

Comment:

Several assignments to help boost your grade. Tests however often aren't based off of lectures but instead are very detail oriented and from the textbook. Definitely buy and read all the chapters she goes through (even read the captions on photos) if you're looking for a decent mark on the tests. Otherwise, her lectures are enjoyable and welcoming.

Comment:

Dr. Jackson gives very interesting and informative lectures, however, they only cover maybe 30% of what is on the midterm and final the rest comes from the textbook and test banks. Overall a good professor and a good class to take for a FAHSS credit.

Literally the worst prof I had this semester. I attended all the lectures like a fool only for her to use test banks as her exams. Biggest slap in the face. Being fluent and confident with the course material but having to endure questions with no correlation to course material. Just awful.

I love this prof. Be aware that you'll have to use the textbook, as lectures don't cover everything that is tested on exams. Lots of info and reading for an elective class.

Her lectures are always very interesting. However, she does not cover everything needed to pass- only about 30% of total course knowledge. But, she is such a sweetheart and her accent is divine. If you actually read the textbook and put in the work, you will succeed. Her tests are fair.

I was very disappointed in the way she carried out this course. There is a ridiculous amount of work that needs be done which is very stressful. She can test you on any little, seemingly worthless detail in the textbook and you have to study it all. The lecture is just a waste of time anyway since she only covers a fraction of the chapter.

An amazing women, She is funny, and sweet however doesn't let you get away with easy marks, you need to Put in effort to get your grade, but it's a reasonable amount for the course. She makes class fun and has been the only prof I was excited to get up and go listen to in the morning. Reading is mandatory but she is available to help you out.

MY FAVOURITE. Dr. Jackson is an amazing teacher and the course is really fair, honestly do your work and you'll be good. Not an easy A but not insane either. Her class is the one I never want to miss, she makes the subject extra fun. Her lectures also are really helpful, you need to go to class to get the info on the slides but its also in the text

Dr. Jackson is a decent lecturer and her exams aren't too bad, but she barely teaches any of the content. Going to class is honestly a waste of time (coming from someone who went to every class) as much of the exam is on content not found in her lectures. Read and summarize the textbook and that's really all you should study from.

I loved Dr. Jackson! She made me realize further that I was SO interested in Psychology because of her engaging lectures. She really makes sure you understand the concept of the material, all while adding in something funny along the way. My favorite professor so far.

Jill Jackson is an amazing lecturer, cares about her students, and knows how to make class more interesting. She is a fair marker, is always accessible for help, and is super funny. A lot of reading is required, and class is pretty much mandatory as there's usually a participation assignment. Totally recommend her for any psychology course possible

Comment:

Jackson is a great lecturer compared to most of my professors. She makes the information fun, loves what she does, and is a fair marker. The only minor negatives are that she holds random participation marks in class and talks too much about her personal life.

Dr. Jill Jackson is the first prof I've had that not only makes you pay attention in class and makes you understand whats being presented. She know whats talking about and makes sure you know it to. She very open to helping you. Great person.

she's fine at teaching but she literally teaches 1/10th of the chapter in class and you're expected to read the rest from the textbook yourself.. might as well skip class and memorize the textbook. the exam being 50% wasn't great either, but if u read the book u can get a 90 and the bonus marks offered help too

love, love, love this prof. She was clear, she gave amazing examples of the material in her lectures. She has a funny side and keeps you interested. If you don't get the opportunity to have her for your intro psych classes you are missing out ! shes the bomb dot com

Comment:

(Major class): An amazing professor and person in general. Interesting lectures that won't have you falling asleep, and not completing an entire chapter in one day like other courses (*cough *cough bio). The group projects are a bit annoying, but it's not too difficult to do well. The "midterms" are all online and you can used notes.
