DONT DO IT!!! I had his oceanography class and it was horrible! So boring, there was no organization, tests were over things not even discussed, talked to much about nothing. I wouldnt take his class again

Dr. Darrell is INCREDIBLY difficult. I have him for lab and he just gives a couple points and tells us to get to work. Very scatter brained- talks to much about personal life- if he didn't talk as much class could be cut in half. Go to tutoring- you're going to need it- as much as possible.

Very funny man, loves what he does and his students. Make a point to get to know him and his class will go better for you. Pay attention to what he says in lab and ask for help. Tests were difficult, but he was somewhat lenient. A professor that will remember you!

Worst professor I've ever had. Doesn't no how 2 teach, so 2 do well, u must read every word n the chapter, & even then ur not in the clear. Dr. Darrell doesn't no his geology so if u actually get a right answer on the test, he might actually count it as wrong. Even if u prove it's right, he won't change ur grade. I got an A, but good luck 2 u.

He truly loves what he does, but he is retiring this here. Taking his class is an experience to remember, and one does learn an awful lot. His class was not extremely easy though. His tests could be tricky, although not super hard. Won't miss the class, but it's worth taking.

Dr. Darrell sometimes strays from his lecture (by telling personal stories, etc) but I think he is mostly to the point. The most important thing you must do is to be sure to take very good notes;study those, skim the chapters, and you should be able to make a decent grade. This is a class you have to actually have to do work in, but you learn a lot

This is the hardest calss I have ever taken! But I haven't learned more in any other class. You have to write down everything he says and then retype it when you get home. This is the only wasy to pass. Don't forget your caffine drink before class eithe. He's a good teacher, but hard. The material is very interesting.
