Jim is a fabulous professor. He's one of the most caring and kind people I have ever met. If you want an A in class all you have to do is show up and prep for your speech the night before. If you have the opportunity to take a class with him, do it.

Comment:

Jim's very good at his job, the assignments and speeches aren't difficult if you stay organized, and I've gotten over my public speaking fear. Coming in after he calls roll counts as absent, and if you skip too much he'll put your attendance points in the negatives, but you don't want to skip because the class is fun and you make a lot of friends.

Took online class. Mr. F responds to questions quickly and is patient. Time-consuming class. Quizzes are open-note. Glad I dont have to take again but interesting info. Papers are prob hardest part; BE THOROUGH! Also, make sure you keep up with the homework. Can take quizzes 2x if you get high enough 1st score. Disscusion Qs and quizzes weekly.

It's difficult to summarize Jim in 350 characters. He's incredibly invested in his students. I had him for public speaking and interpersonal and took away life-long lessons from both classes. He's clear from the beginning about requirements and provides wonderful feedback. Don't skip classes - attendance is mandatory! You won't regret taking him.

Jim is such a great teacher! I really enjoyed his class. He made something as scary as public speaking really fun. My grade suffered a letter-grade from attendance though. YOU NEED TO GO TO CLASS!!

Best teacher I've had at Normandale. I look forward to his class everyday. He has a good sense of humor and creates a community within the class. Will be obvious what you need to do to get a good grade because he gives you a rubric for every speech so if you follow it you're good to go. 10 pts off grade for any tardy, absences, or leaving early

James is my favorite professor at Normandale. He really inspired me to take control of my life and manifest the things I want. He is a super awesome guy, hilarious, makes class fun, enjoyable and easy. I recommend him to everyone. Show up, pay attention, do your work, follow instructions and you will get an A. Thanks James you freakin rock.

Jim is my favorite professor I've ever had. If you get the chance to choose him as a professor, do it! I took a night class for 4 hours twice a week and he made it delightful. You grow strong community and end up not wanting to leave on the last day of class!!!!!

I took public speaking with Jim. I couldn't have asked for a better Professor to teach us this useful and engaging material. He not only understands communication, but his passion for it makes learning interesting. If you have the chance, take his class!!

Honestly, Jim has to be one of the best teachers I've ever had. He sets very clear deadlines and the class is very organized. He was interactive with us students. He's accessible outside class as well. As long as you do the homework, you will be fine. Definitely recommend!

Hands down best professor Ive ever had. He knows that most people just are required to be there but ends up making everyone love the class. Ive never laughed so hard and been so excited to go to a class. His expectations are clear. Strict, but such an easy and fun professor! I wish i could write more about how great his is!!!

Easily my favorite professor from this semester. Professor Frankenfeld is more than a professor. Over the course of the semester he turned our class into something comparible to a family. I have never had such a fun time in a class! He's a genuine guy who gives great feedback, likes to tell jokes, and is a very approachable person.

Made what I assumed would be another horribly boring comm class actually a lot of fun. His three hour class does go quick on most days as he integrates topics that are relevant and intriguing. Definitely the funnest class i've taken in all my years of school.

Professor Frankenfeld is a very good teacher. I had him for Public Speaking 1101.22. We had a three hour long course on Wednesdays from 2:00pm to 4:50pm. I did not think that the class would be fun but he made the class a blast for all three of the hours. I highly recommend taking the class with him.

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. One of the best professors I've had, he taught me a lot about communication while keeping the environment fun and relaxed. Plus you don't need a textbook. He cares about his students, and will always help you out. You will learn a lot.
