Take this professor. I was so nervous to take this class in the beginning as I read these comments about her being kinda difficult, however it was so fun. Due to the virus, class went online & was easier. Before however, it was tough but very fun! Do NOT skip class. She gives out extra credit as well for exams which help a TON. I highly recommend.

Attendance isn't mandatory and she posts notes, but GO TO CLASS, because she talks about things you need to know that are not on the slides, and the slides don't fully explain everything. You could pass without reading the book, but I found it helpful. She is super friendly and down to earth. You have to work for your grade, but you'll learn a lot.

Dr. DiPlacido is a fantastic professor who truly cares about sharing the joys of health psychology. Her exams are all multiple choice and you don't have to read the book because her exams are based on her PowerPoints for the most part. Homework is easily completed and she's a very fair grader.

Nice, passionate and enthusiastic. HOWEVER she often goes off on tangents about political issues unrelated to course. Large portions of lectures spent talking about how Americas health care systems are terrible and how women are mistreated by men. Tests somewhat lecture based. assignments arent hard, just busy work. WAsnt a big fan

Very hard exams but extra credit is given. Always available if you need help. Cares so much for her students health and safety. Some of the questions were wordy on the exams.

Class was more boring than I expected it to be. Found it hard to pay attention because of the interruptions in my class. Not that it's her fault. She should wrap up student comments quicker than dragging them out because somethings just aren't that well related to the course. Big paper due at the end of the semester. Tests are a bit difficult

4 exams (based off so much information, no study guide, extremely difficult, and worded to trick you) 2 homework assignments (generally easy but the second one was not graded before the last class) 1 case study (long research paper, not too difficult but it was due in mid November and not graded or turned back until the final) DO NOT TAKE

Great professor, super nice. Lectures off of powerpoints so it's essential you go to class. textbook somewhat used. 4 exams, non cumulative final. 2 papers fairly short. participation isn't graded. just study for the exams and you're good.

Dr. DIPlacido gets very excited about Health Psychology. Class is all lecture-- make sure to print the powerpoints before class so you can take good notes because she tests based on the notes, not just what the powerpoint says. She only grades you on 3 HW, 4 tests, and a project. DON'T BUY THE EXPENSIVE TEXTBOOK! NOT NEEDED.

Very nice lady, she slows down when needed. Exams based on lectures instead of the book which is nice. She has offered extra credit throughout the semester which was very very useful. Very passionate about the subject

Great professor, passionate. Tests are clear & easy when you attend class & pay attention. She assigns reading but the test questions aren't really based off the reading, mostly just the lecture. Reading the material reinforces the powerpoints. She puts the powerpoints online, print them out before class! Also there is one project that is very easy

Tests are extremely hard and that's pretty much what your grade is based on besides one 10 page paper. Would not take her ever again. You will have to read every chapter in order to just do slightly okay on the tests. Don't take it!

If you're looking for an elective do not take this class. It was the most time consuming for me and I always studied a lot but still didn't do great on the test. She's also very boring. Wouldn't recommend!

really has no idea what shes talking about most of the time. the tests are very detailed and she never gives a study guide. have to study all powerpoint slides and look for more details in the book. she seems to be a good person but has no original ideas. ALL her information is from the book, even the examples used in class. pretty lame.

It is hard to keep track of your grade in the class because she hands back grades really late. Grade is based off of a small number of assignments so if you mess one up then you are screwed. She is nice and class is interesting but she has you teach yourself at times which can be annoying.

Um, the class was pretty interesting but she was a terrible teacher. I didnt like her at all...She wouldn't finish the powerpoints and make us teach ourselves the rest before the test, and she wonders why the class does bad..she was nice but sometimes would get frustrated and snap, really weird. She seems like a nice person but I didn't like her.
