Comment:
Professor Palka's Honors class was the EASIEST I've ever taken! All he assigns each week is a summary of a reading and the final was a compilation of all those summaries! If you need an easy A Honors seminar to take, take his interesting Art and Anthropology class.

Palka is awesome! He's easy-going and helpful. Yes, he does miss class often. Just make a sign-in sheet and he'll give you credit for being there. Overall, one of the best.

You might as well take this class online - he is a cool guy and I think I would like him if he ever showed up for class. He was out 50% of the class time - which made for less classes, but You still had to prepare for Exams. Lots of folks upset, I was not until I realized I was unprepared for the final.

Took ANTH 277 Ethnography of Mesoamerica. Is more just an anthropology of Meso because doesn't focus or discuss different ethnographic methods at all. Reading is good for quizzes, lots of EC. Always thinks his view is right but he's a nice guy and an interesting class. Been teaching for 15 years and is a little stuck in a routine.

Got an A in this guy's class last semester. Like most Anthropology classes, the literature was pretty dry but his quizzes were pretty simple. Try to participate in class to let him know you have somewhat of interest/understanding of the material.

ethnography of mesoamerica. good professor. tends to ramble on and notes become confused on occasion. his tests are solely on his notes; its very important to goto class. he is approachable, friendly, but tends to draw out answers to questions for 5-10 minutes. overall a good professor.

Ridiculous teaching methods, everything lecture is completely monotone, and sends all his students to TAs for questions, unhelpful and extremely boring.
