shes a very sweet lady and cares a lot about her students. this is definitely an easy A class because of how much time we are given along with the extra credit offered. even if you get Bs on your paper all the other assignments act as a buffer so you will still get an a. so make sure to do all the assignments! take ur time on papers cuz shespicky

Comment:

Great lady but bad teacher. She is a tough grader on silly little things and was even incorrect on some of her grading. She isn't good at time management, as we spend the first half of class doing what we're supposed to, and the last half is sitting in a circle doing literally nothing. We just go on our phones and pray she lets us out early.

Such a sweet lady! However, she took FOREVER to grade assignments, essays, and rarely responded to my emails. I've never gotten a B in any English class but this would be my first, she gives little to no feedback and it's always subjective. Attendance is mandatory! You can only miss 3 before you get dropped. Wouldn't recommend taking for credit.

She's a caring, thorough professor who boosted my writing confidence like none other, and that was my favorite class out of the 7 I was taking, but I feel rather cheated having gotten an A on all major papers and only missing a few minuscule homework assignments (she requires 250-500 words twice a week in addition to projects). I ended up with a C.

Greatest teacher! Much of her class is in response to a couple pages of reading. Really simple stuff but you do have to stay on top of it. There's a mini assignment every night. Her discussions are relevant. Almost all of the work over the semester is done in the classroom. Most of the time we were out early or didn't have to come at all.

Joelle is very knowledgeable, though if you do not like english do not take her. She NEVER lets you out early and forgets things every now and again. Tough grader. You need to woe for your A. You must participate in class to pass and you must show up for class. she takes attendance after breaks! Overall good, but not your easy A.

Such a sweet woman! Love her! You do a lot of VERY EASY assignments. Read a story or poem and write 150 words! That simple. There are 4 essays, but they are broken up so that way you have them done in time! Forcing us to write and turn in a rough draft really helped! She is very understanding and lets you revise ALL essays and resubmit them! GREAT!

I always get "A's" in english not easy with this professor. The class itself is easy but the professor is a huge believer in BUSY work. Doesn't return essays in a timely matter so you can revise them for final draft. A lot of people dropped because she really was not helpful. Take another professor if you have the chance. Takes role after break.

She is incredibly sweet but doesn't plan things out well at all. Gives an overwhelming amount of unnecessary busy work. Gives useless projects that just waste time when you should be working on other assignments. Not the easiest grader when it comes to essays but other than that is fairly easy. Requires a lot of participation.

Take this class if you're looking for just a standard course because you need the credits. She does nothing to integrate skills and activities to expand understanding or interest in topics. Lots of busy work. Seems like she's trying to get by with the essays and assignments. Take someone else if you're an English major, she put me off my own major.

This was a hybrid class, and it is a lot of writing. She is a nice teacher and is enthusiastic about her job. She is always happy to help and answers emails in a timely manner. usually within 24 hours. She wants her students to do well, and if you show up to class every day she will give you an A for participation at the end of the class.

Perfect english class to take! Highly recommend it. She will assign essays in advanced, so it helps you with your time management. She knows her stuff, don't argue. Turn in all the homework, do the essays, and you will do fine. Plus, she allows revisions on the essays! Great Prof.(she loves class discussions so be prepared)

She was a super nice lady, but I didn't learn anything. The class wasn't hard to pass just have t turn in assignments on time. turn in dates were a little foggy. 3 main essays...one of the is a 7 to 10 page research paper. She gets mad if you do not participate in group disscussions.

I thought she was a pretty good professor. She is very helpful and willing to help when you need it. I communicated a lot with her via email and she responded in a relatively fast manner. However, she does take some time to grade work. Textbook is mandatory to pass. She also gives you helpful insight on your paper to better your writing skills.

though she is nice and her class is easy to pass, she is not the best teacher. i didn't learn much and her work is more so busy work. she doesn't seem to familar with the online portion of the class and her deadlines aren't too clear.
