Dr. Davison is very knowledgeable. Ochem is diff than 1A and 1B so doing good in those classes wont guarantee you will do well in Ochem. Practice practice practice! This is a difficult subject and he really works towards making it clear for students. He will talk with you and make jokes. Dont take him for granted, he is actually pretty helpful!

For the ACS final exam, do the ACS study guide two-three times if you want an A on the final. Do it thoroughly and really understand it. Start early so you have time to ask him questions in his office hours because they will be crowded towards the end of the semester.

Tests Mastering Chemistry HW + information from slides. A lot of the multiple choice on the tests come from the MC homework. Don't piss him off or he WILL take it out on your next test. Lab is easy for the most part- don't stress. He's a good teacher with a good heart, passionate about what he teaches and is super funny.

I absolutely loved Dr. Davison's class! He's a great professor and his class was very rewarding. The exams are remarkably tough but definitely not impossible. Study thoroughly and you will get an A. Do NOT memorize. Study in a way to understand the concepts by heart. He cares a lot about his students and wants them to succeed. Highly recommend.

His class is tough, I don't recommend taking him unless you have a good base in chemistry. Do the HW twice and READ the TEXTBOOK. There is NO CURVE so work hard and you might just get a B.

4 tests, each 3-4 ch's worth. Pre & post-lab quizzes due before & after every lab; mandatory labs! Updated lab journal due each test. Mastering Chem hw for each chapter (-33% each wrong answer). Lectures were not helpful, basically learned everything via book, youtube, & my study group. ACS final MC format. STUDY GROUP & ACS STUDY GUIDE NEEDED!

The reviews are way over rated. He kept praising himself as the best OChem teacher. OMG it is far from the truth. I got A's in 1A, 1B, & 12A, and getting a C in 12B with him.

Davison is an awesome professor. He basically tells you exactly what will be on the first couple tests, just make sure you study. He's a great guy, pretty funny, and extremely helpful. Labs are fairly easy. Has some online homework (exact questions will be on exams). If you put in the effort you'll enjoy the class and pass. Definitely recommend

A really cool guy with a great sense of humor. He will go out of his way to help you succeed. Tests questions are similar to the ones he gives in classhomework, so as long as you pay attention and do the homework you should do at least okay. Labs are worth a lot of points, which really helps boost your grade. Overall I really recommend him.

I enjoyed Davison's class! His lecture slides follow the text book, and his tests are structured around his lectures. If you remembered your 12A lab techniques, then his 12B lab is not challenging at all. Also, Davison is very willing to answer questions. Study hard, read the text book, read the ACS study guide, and you can pass with a good grade!

If you want to go to Med school take Davison! He's not "easy", but neither is med school. He'll build the foundation you need to move on to high level classes! He's quite friendly and helpful. I was intimidated at first but enjoyed the class in the end. My suggestion is READ THE BOOK as well. DO THE HOMEWORK. DO THE HOMEWORK AGAIN. & study the ACS.

This class was ridiculous. I got A's in chem 1a and chem 1b and had to take a W in his chem 12a because I was worried I wasn't going to pass... He is not helpful and grades tests very hard. I am a chemistry major and I wish I had taken a different teacher. If you have any intention of getting a good grade in 12a or 12b, do not take Davison.

Hands down the best Organic Chemistry Professor ever. Dr. Davidson is passionate about the subject and delivers lectures that are clear, well organized, and accompanied with very concise slides. His sense of humor keeps you engaged in both class/lab. Definitely my favorite pre-health course. If you put in the effort you will do well.

He is really nice, his classes are really fun. he uses powerpoint all the time.a big portion of the grad is your lab book which actually helps your grade up. he really grades papers restrictedly. never curves the grades and online hw is required.

probably the most difficult chem 12a teacher here but he teachers very well and is very entertaining. strict on lab technique and grades hard on tests but you will learn so much! attend lecture, go to office hours, do practice problems, work hard and an A is very possible! if you want to learn, definitely take davison!

Probably a tad more tough than the other organic chemistry professors, so I hear, but he's a good guy. Drops hints left and right during lecture on what to expect for exams, so attend class and pay attention. Do practice problems, be polite, and you'll be fine.

12A is very easy with him but when you get to 12 B, it is a lot harder with Davidson. No curve and tests are pretty hard. The Final is very difficult. Labs are time consuming. He is a great professor but his lectures are posted online so not necessary to go to lecture. Got an A in 12A B in 12B Would recommend only if interested in subject.Hes good

Dr Davison is quite a teacher and a person. He has excellent powepoints, entertaining lectures, and is a very fair and helpful teacher. Is not given enough credit for all the things he provides for us. Not too difficult, but not easy either. Great teacher!
