Comment:
Delano's lectures are awesome. The subject matter is ever changing and extremely interesting. However, his tests are confusing (uses the old 'D. A & B' or 'E. All the above' crap) and pretty specific. Sometimes he unintentionally asks about details that he only mentioned briefly. He really tried to rectify that, but I had to pass/fail the course.

Straight A Student Review: Not the best course to take for an honors student. Reading assignments are a bit long, math is basic, but sometimes difficult to understand, and everything he speaks has to be written down. Had to pass/fail the class. If youre not a science person, i wouldnt recommend this for an easy A. Still an interesting course though

I was excited to take this class prior to the class but I often found myself falling asleep. He's funny and weird which is cool but just make sure you go to the class and write down every little thing that comes out his mouth cause you have no idea what will be on the test. He curves the tests. I didn't get the math. Do not buy the text book.

He clearly loves what he does and is a great guy. He's probably on of the best professors at Albany. But his tests are ridiculous, like previously mentioned they focus on topics that aren't in the textbook and more on things he very briefly mentions in class that you wouldn't expect to be on the test.

Nice and energetic but his work is too hard. Math is a joke and easy but it's barely anything to the class. Exams are mostly on little things mentioned once. VERY HARD to get above an 80 on. NO CURVE. Also will call you out in class about something he doesn't like. TAKE AT OWN RISK

Definitely the best professor I've had this semester. The class is interesting and he makes it fun to be there. My advice is read the chapters, they make the things he lectures about easier to understand and thus will make you do better on the tests. The math isn't as hard as people make it out to be and he's always willing to give help. Great guy.

He is really nice, quirky and very approachable, however, he doesn't teach in an organized manner. (his slide shows are random pictures of things he thinks are cool in the universe) His exams are very hard to study because the class work seems so arbitrary. If you are good at memorizing things you hear, take it, if not, I wouldn't recommend it.

Great professor. Love his spunk and quirkiness... although he doesnt really go into so much depth (he expects you to read the chapter assignments). He definitely makes chemistry more enjoyable though :)

Cutest guy on the planet. Took his class in the fall, The Search for Life Beyond Earth. He focuses a lot of attention on pointing out his class does not promote conspiracy theories but actual science. He works hard to keep everyone interested & awake but its still EXTREMELY HARD; a lot of math. He's AWESOME but there are easier gen eds.

Amazing teacher! One of my two favorites. Teaches a fascinating topic and exemplifies the material in his passion for it and quirky antics; weird alien voices and dancing around. It's impossible to be bored in his class and he's honestly the kindest Professor you'll ever meet. Definitely recommend his classes.

He is a great guy, really funny and really loves what he does. He made me super interested in outer space and I've learned so much from him. However, I wasn't expecting so much math and it wasn't the easiest but pay attention in class and don't forget your iclicker

Without question the most intelligent, well-respected, and enthusiastic professors at SUNY Albany. He makes math, science, and concepts absolutely foolproof to understand. He's also incredibly approachable, despite his day job working for NASA. ENV 250 honestly, changed my life.

Awesome professor! He cares about his students but if your not a math or science person I suggest tape recording his lectures. I truly helps and it got me a 95 in his class! You don't have to buy the test book he likes to use current events and his own way of teaching things, not the textbooks way at all. I learned so much from his class! :D

LOVE THIS PROFESSOR! Tests are not difficult at all. He gives review sessions and pretty much tells you things that are going to be on the test during class. Rarely use the textbook. would suggest you go to class since there are clicker questions the majority of the time. TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HIM!

His lectures require good note taking, however he keeps it fresh and usually very interesting. He tests heavily on the material covered in class. Overall though a nice guy who does a good job of helping anyone out who needs it. I would take another one his classes any day.

Prof Delano is very enthusiastic about his subject. However, it is a 100 level class and he's teaching it as if it's a 400 level. I came to class, paid attention, took notes, re-read the power points and studied and still did poorly on the exam... And there are only 2 exams and the final. He assigns a lot of boring articles. Tests are very hard.
