Paul is incredibly knowledgeable about photography- you can tell he loves it. He tends to give a lot of directions at once and gets confusing at times, but if you put in the work you WILL be rewarded. Quizzes are easy- I got 100 on both of them. He is super honest and will tell you if he thinks you're capable of producing better work. Great guy.

I loved Paul! He knows so much about photography and he is so understanding. His knowledge has taught me so much about the subject and I wish he taught more of the higher level courses. I'm going to miss him. If you can take a class with Paul Pearce!

This guy is really nice and extremely helpful. Just got done taking a 101 class with him and while art isn't my thing, he made it manageable to sit through. If I had to take it again, it would be with him. Two quizzes, a mid-term, and a final. Show up to class, participate, and you will do well.

Nice guy, very understanding and helpful. Lectures drag on a bit though. You'll spend a lot of time outside of class shooting film (a roll of film is do about once a week or once every other week). This class is expensive, but worth it if you're into photography.

Hands down one of the worst professors I've ever had. He talks for hours and repeats himself over and over. Make sure if you take his class you are not an avid photographer because it is his way or the highway in this class. For a general education course it was too expensive, too much work and he sucked all of the enjoyment out of it for myself

Fabulous professor! He has lots of knowledge about photography to share and lots of experience. Lectures can be kind of dry. Expect to spend lots of time outside of class. Take class with him!

I have never had him as a professor, but he's great to talk to you, even if you're not his student, he'll dedicate his time for you if you show an interest. He is by far a great example of a profesor who loves his job.

Pearce is great. I had never taken a photo class in my life before him, and I learned sooo much from him. I'm looking forward to taking the 440 class with him. It is a ton of outside work and can get expensive, but that's the same for any art class. If you take a photo class, I would recomend him.

Paul is a dedicated teacher. He shows up early and is always willing to help you. He even spends money from his own pocket for supplies that aren't covered with your lab fee. Paul is also very experienced in the field and won't let you down!

new teacher, adjunct. Fairly easy grader. You will need to spend mucho money and time on this class. You have to talk to him in each class, and that's almost impossible. He lives in Syracuse, so not too available.
