Professor Krenos is a really nice person, and is willing to help you - which is good, since class can be confusing, especially if you don't read the sections ahead. A lot of people say that coming to class isn't worth it, but from experience, he does hint at specific things that'll come up on exams, which is helpful. Same if you go to office hours.

Professor Krenos is a sweet grandfatherly guy, but his lectures tend to be very dry (excuse the rhyme). Having already taken AP in high school, Honors Chem 163 presented some new material, verging on physics. His lecture explanations aren't great, but he's absolutely there for you if you need help. Challenging exams, but not too bad. Read the text!

He is honestly not a good lecturer. You learn from reading the textbook, NOT the lecture at all. Coming to lecture is honestly pointless because even the attendance bonus points he claims to talk about have little to no affect... you'd rather spend that time reading the book on your own.

Lecture is the worst. He cant teach for life. So why did I take honors chem vs reg chem? Because Krenos has old exams! Plus u need to teach urself for both classes and honors is less work than reg. Take honors over reg. Trust me.

He's very nice and tells you what will be on the exams. His lecturing is not that great. He reads directly from powerpoints and a lot of the stuff in his notes is history and bios of quantum physicists.

His tests are basically repeats every year with very similar question formats. If his tests weren't easy, I'd say he'd be impossible to deal with. But he's very nice, especially if you talk to him at office hours. He lectures way too fast, usually getting through 80min lectures in 50min and plays a random 5min vid at the end for jokes and giggles.

He is a really nice man but a terrible teacher. His lectures are extremely confusing with lots of irrelevant information. He sort of rambles from topic to topic without explaining anything. His slides are impossible to follow as they are also full of unrelated information. I sat through his lectures and understood nothing.

It was an honors class, so it was meant to be tough. But if you do everything he asks, you can get an A. He's pretty lenient in grading, but his lectures are extremely boring.

I learned nothing about chemistry the whole semester. I just learned to solve useless problems that I didn't actually understand. I you just grind it out you will get an A, but it won't be very rewarding. His lectures were extremely boring and he made me lose my passion for chemistry. I would recommend just taking regular chem instead of honors.

He is a sweetheart, but he cannot teach. If you do not understand the concepts of chemistry clearly, or have not taken AP Chem, you should try to avoid him. It is better to get an A in regular general chemistry as opposed to the B in his class. The questions he puts on the exams have explanations with numbers he pulls out of space.

A smaller class and the lowest quiz grade gets dropped. Easy enough if Chem comes easy to you. Reasonable curves but seemingly better than regular Gen Chem.

Honestly this class was really easy if you paid attention in class and did the readings before class. People who don't say that he doesn't know how to teach but they're the ones who didn't put in the effort. Exams are very fair but the final is difficult and have me a scare. Should still be an easy A if you come to class and listen and read.

TAKE HONORS (not regular) CHEM. I did alright on the first two exams (Bs), but I absolutely BOMBED the final. I probably shouldn't have passed the class but he gave me a B. It was the first B I got since 7th grade, but I'll take it because I should have failed. A LOT OF WORK, BUT WORTH IT FOR THE CURVE. He gave out plenty of As, a few Bs, no Cs

If you're an Honors Student and you're not sure if you want to take Honors Chem or regular TAKE HONORS CHEM! I did okay on the first two exams and absolutely BOMBED the final. I honestly didn't deserve to pass, but Krenos gave me a B. I think a B was the lowest grade he gave out... GOOD CURVE!!

I am sad to say I'm leaving this class feeling I have learned nothing. Unless you are a chemistry major, do not take honors chem. Professor Krenos is a great man and you can tell he wants everyone to succeed. The problem is he just doesn't know how to teach. I was lost for all of his lectures and learned more from the textbook and the study guide.

Great man with a great personality, love his jokes during class. However, the course is almost entirely textbook-based, it is often difficult to understand him during lecture. Exams are based off of past ones so make sure to review them, and also review the homework for quizzes.

Krenos is a really kind person. However, his lectures are ridiculously confusing and he is terrible at explaining things. I speny an entire semester utterly confused and did not learn one thing. DO NOT TAKE HONORS CHEMISTRY (especially if you do not have a background in chemistry).

He's a great guy, but lectures were dry and not very helpful for exams. Practicing previous exams and doing random problems in thebook isthe way to go.
