Great professor! One of the best I had at the three universities I attended in Germany and the U.S. He cares about his subject and it comes through in his teaching. I learned a lot from him.

Oh, Dr. McElligott (aka, Dr. Frogman). This guy is extremely tough and old fashioned, but if you actually give a darn about the class you WILL learn a lot. He expects A LOT from his students and does not tolerate laziness of any kind. He once told me to consider joining a convent...

Dr. McElligott was my professor for US History many years ago. I never really got into US History, but man did I learn a TON from him about our history. He's as tough as nails, but I can still spout facts that I learned in his class. Good thing, too, cuz I ended up marrying a guy who is doing his PhD in US History! Thanks Dr. E! :)

I absolutely hated this class! He rambled on about the most pointless things. He admitted that nothing he lectured about was on the quizzes. He is terrible. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS!

He's a great teacher. He's 'old school', but accomodating. Don't let him intimidate you. You'll do fine on quizzes and papers if you put ANY effort into it. Wants to engage the class, but gets frustrated if students are not willing. Enjoyed "Turning Points in Religion and Science". He's enthusiastic about the subject - wants students to be so.

In my opinion, Dr. McElligott was an excellent professor. He knew his stuff extremely well, and seemed to really enjoy talking about it. He is, however, VERY blunt, and does use the text a LOT. However, I took a lot out of that class, and really enjoyed it.

Was the worst chauvinistic pig that I have ever had in any class, ever. He leered at the women students and talked down to them. Only responded positively to male students. Avoid this jerk like the plague.

McElligot is great. Tough guy... southsider if you will. Will help you if you ask. Dont ask stupid questions and you wont have a problem. If you dont care, then he doesnt. Its great to see a dumb chick squirm when he wants an intelligent answer and she brings nothing to the table.

I was in the class when he told the student to throw herself in front of a semi. He was a very tough teacher. The class was not based on the constitution. Needs to quit smoking.
