Comment:

Uses Socratic method teaching style. Forces you to use critical thinking skills. Very relevant to business management in the real world. I can say within the years of employment and business ownership, I owe Professor Steelquist a thank you. All four of the classes I took from him were frustrating, but the most useful and thought provoking! Thanks!

AVOID TAKING CLASSES WITH HIM! Im going to be honest, he farts a lot in class so get ready to be distracted from that. On top of this he cant speak clearly and constantly gets his work wrong, but argues with you that hes right. Lets not get started on his tests that literally has problems he never, ever went over before! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barely understood if he covered topics thoroughly. Jumps all over topics covers 3-4 chapters in one week. Often goes off topic and can be irrelevant to the point that its frustrating.

The business program would be flawless if he got terminated. He disguises his terrible performance of instructing with his endless knowing of knowledge and his accomplishments. For decades, he has failed students from enhancing their own knowledge of stats, quantitative methods, MIS, and Operations Management.

Professor needs to learn how to connect and accept other students thoughts on discussion. He needs to get rid of that bad habit of always thinking he is right. He never finishes a complete sentence when he talks and jumps to something totally irrelevant. However, you can still succeed with the help of faith from the Lord himself. amen.

Terrible professor. Very unclear instruction and grading is different from student to student. I received an A and NONE of it was because of him. I went to previous students in attempt to understand what the man wanted on quizzes and exams. Study guides are a waste of time. The exams are near impossible. The high for the midterm in my class- 40/100

He is a funny guy with a lot of energy. Sometimes he gets off track, but he makes time for his students if they need help. It is necessary to be patient in his class but he will help get you through the class.

I just wish he would take more time to clearly and effectively explain to the class the material we go over. He just kind of skims over the stuff and expects us to know it. Then he gives us quizzes on stuff we clearly need more practice, ultimately, being in any of his classes is a struggle.

Does not explain anything to classmates. If you ask a question he will not answer it. He also is too much of a genius to be teaching. He does not make sense to ANYONE and gives a quiz over new material everyday that he does not teach. Good luck, your best bet is to just show up everyday and teach yourself.

This is the WORST class ever. Teacher didn't talk clearly, boring, and material that is not interesting. The PROJECT is really hard and he gives too much assignments and not enough time to work on all the assignments. He doesn't explain clearly on the material. Professor is intelligent but he doesn't know how to teach. WASTE of time and money.

not clear, mumbles words together, horrible handwriting. If a question in the book involves, say, lawnmowers, he will spend 10 minutes talking about types of grass. If you are not already a math-mind, dont bother. Open book everything, but it doesnt help if you dont even know what the question is asking.

The only way you can do well in his classes is if everyone does worse than you! its insane. save yourself alot of grief and stress. Dont take his classes unless its mandatory. The business program is awsome, steelquist is the only downfall.

Definately the worst teacher in the Chaminade business program. His grading is so subjective that you almost have to guess what the guy is thinking sometimes. Unfortunately he is the only teacher for 3 required classes in the business. 3 times............. I hate thinking about it. If you have him, plan on teaching yourself. Definately buy the book

Yah, not too great, I admit. However, I loved QM. Didn't really learn much from the Professor, but learned it on my own. Steely always asks the class "Ya got it?" in that weird way where you don't really hear the annunciation of each letter...it all blends together like "Ya-nga-ih?" Hehe. Oh, the memories! But that's how college is, right? Some great, some not so great.
