Comment:
Titus is a very intelligent professor, almost too much for his own good sometimes. He frequently can come off as condescending which personally prevented me from ever wanting to ask questions or express a lack of understanding. I spent much of the class praying i was not called on to answer a question because I did not want to be embarrassed

Took Ecology Lab with Titus. WORST CHOICE. Very unclear with lectures and little to no help when consulted (if anything condescending). His tests are extremely difficult, even when open book, and his questions require a translator. Simply put, STAY AWAY

Titus was an all around amazing professor for ecology and he breaks down the material so you can understand it in lecture. With that being said, MAKE SURE to read the textbook for specific examples- it really helps! By no means an easy class, but I'd take another class with JT

Do not take anything with this professor. He grades very tough, as if he's looking for places to take off points just because. Takes off points for spelling wrong scientific terms. Very rude and bluntly calls out students in the middle of class for suggesting wrong answers. Nice that he knows everyone's name though, but not a fair professor at all.

Took ecology to fulfill my EEB elective, and I couldn't be more glad I took Titus' class rather than mechanisms in evolution. Study the examples from lecture and in the text and you should be fine. If I had the choice, I'd take another class of his

This class was hard. I'm not happy with my grade even after ALOT of work but even through all that I loved it. Dr. Titus is the sweetest man & he tries to really get to know you. Go see him for help. Not only is he kind but he's very passionate & downright adorable. Even though the semester was rough I am truly going to miss him!

My favorite class at Binghamton University. Titus loves the material, and teaching. This is the one class that made me realize why biology students have to take physics and chemistry. You will really learn how biology, physics, and chemistry interact with each other.

Great professor. Sometimes jumps around during lectures making it somewhat difficult to take notes. Exams are mostly writing with 10-15 multiple choice questions. Show up to lecture, study your notes, read the sections of the text that he brings up during lecture (not necessary to read the entire chapters)and you can't go wrong. Optional final also

This professor is rude + overrated. He thinks hes so great, but really, hes just another old guy who cant figure out how to use a projector. Bad attitude + bad class. Should list this under physical limnology, not much bio here. He is condescending + makes his students feel stupid. I was looking forward to this class, now I cant wait for it to end!

Like him as a person. Somewhat entertaining. Learn the concepts but focus your energy on the examples he gives. All of his exams are based on those. Generous curve just cause everyone does so horrible.

Ok class. Titus is very condescending and arrogant if you try to talk to him one on one, avoid talking to Titus, go to the TA or other professor (they are the ones who grade the exams anyway). Exams are hard but Titus curves generously (average is made a C+), you definitely need to go to class and make sure you understand the concepts.

Nothing special, just an average professor. Explained material clearly. Gave good notes in class, however, some test questions were tricky. Attend class for pop quizzes and material covered in class may not be in textbook, but will come up on exams. Good curve on exams.

Funniest guy ever! Just do the work and everything will be fine. Don't take this class "just for the gen-ed". Alot is expected from the students! If you enjoy corny Bio jokes, this class is a must!

Tests are relatively easy. He is a great teacher. ALSO, please brush up on simple high school math before taking this class; everyone in college MUST know how to use algebra.

He takes a few weeks to grow on you but after awhile he's hilarious. The only problem was that he almost never has the projector properly zoomed in/out which made taking notes a challenge. The tests were completely fair and were about 80% straight from the notes with maybe 1 question from discussion and 1 from the textbook.

The only reason I took this class was to fulfill a requirement. It was the most uninteresting course I have ever taken. It was a task to wake up at 10:50am knowing I had to goto this class. The lectures are all in monotone and the average scores for tests are around 40-50%, killing any morale. There is only one section so you have no choice.

i really liked this guy. he teaches very well and is pretty interesting so he kept my attention. although simply going to lecture isnt enough.. you really need to know the material so reading is a must.. and the tests are verrry hard, average score was about a 18-19 out of 40.. so yea you do the math.. nice curve at the end though

Go to lecture and take good notes. Read text to reinforce the lecture. Tests are really tricky. Even though you study lecture notes and read textbook really hard, it is not easy to do well on his test.
