goes through the material slowly and goes through example problems almost identical to exams. Dr hart provides students with all the formulas needed to solve each problem. In addition before each exam he provides the students with an outline detailing all the information students need to know (down to the very paragraph) in the text book.

One of the best professors at LCCC. Has a love of physics that translates well to how he teaches students. He makes the material feel very intuitive and will go out of his way to answer any questions a student may have. My biggest recommendation to do well grade-wise is to actually do the HW problems he assigns. They're identical to test problems

Dr. Hart is an excellent professor, one of the best science professors that I've ever had. Lectures are long and his tests are challenging. Do your homework although he will never check it. That being said, he will bend over backwards to help his students, including meeting with you after or before class as many times as you need. Miss his class.

He does one thing that other science and math teachers fail to do, and that's making it easy to understand. He will go at the students' pace and will always be there for help and will even answer last minute questions for the exams. In lab he will check up on students. Tests are hard but will be very similar to the homework given.

Solid teacher and great guy. He understands how students learn and constantly reviews material. Labs are a pretty easy grade as he guides you through each one and constantly checks on you, which is good. With that being said, tests are difficult! Don't fall behind and my best advice is DO THE HOMEWORK before it's too late!

Dr. Hart is a very nice professor and was easy to understand. The material for physics is very heavily math based so to pass this class with a good grade, you need to know what you are doing in math- pre-calc, trig, and even calculus is a good idea to understand the basics with the position, velocity, and acceleration graphs. GOOD LUCK!

Calc based physics. 3 tests and the class averaged 63.5 across them. The labs were not difficult; easy grade boost. The final exam was 1/2 new material, 1/2 material from the first 3 exams. 84% = A. 76% = B+. 68% = B. 36% = D. Good person, acceptable teacher. Tests could be challenging but other than that no complaints.

As an A/B+ science and math student, I found his class nearly impossible. He is not teacher material and seems to have difficulty understanding questions from students.I found this class to be a waste of time and money.I attended class, took notes, read text did the homework. BTW if you need calc. based physics to transfer, this isn't! wasted $$$$$

I studied, read, did all labs, looked into a tutor. Very hard, contradicting, and makes tests tricky when no one knows what they are doing. Struggled and obtained a D+. Retook in summer and understood so much more. Received a B and left with more knowledge. I suggest waiting and taking Physics w/summer professor (Campbell)who is extremely helpful.

Dont know how Lcc allows such a professor to teach for so long. Ppl feel bad bc he comes off as a nice guy. That doesnt help those who are there to learn the material. Tests are ridiculously hard and he barely covers material. Lab is the only thing that saves students from failing. Majority of class scores about 30's on exams.

Im a straight A student and currently have a D in this course. Assigning readings that are confusing, not going over HW, putting things on the test that wasnt really covered during class, and giving us a curve to do himself a favor of not losing his job is not a good teacher! I dont recommend this man. I wish I was warned. Class average is a 46%.

Nice guy, awful teacher. He puts way to much on tests. He has enough material for 2 tests crammed onto 1. Easy labs to try and help boost grades, but if you don't take a test on the assigned date he gives you automatically loose 10pts off of it. regardless of a legitimate excuse or not.

Had for Physics 1. I walked in with previous knowledge of Physics from HS, but his teaching method was difficult to follow and the way he speaks doesn't hold my interest enough. His tests are VERY VERY hard. I'm an A and B student but I got failing grades on his tests after lots of studying. I've never had such a hard time in a class before.

Dr. Hart is the best science teacher in the entire world. Students must realize this is no longer high school - if you show up, do the work assigned, study, and ask questions when you are lost, you are guaranteed an A. Dr. Hart humbles himself for students in many ways like I have never seen before - wish I could've had him for other classes.

I don't know why everyone is giving him a good score. While he is a nice guy, he's a terrible teacher. Just because you have your PhD, doesn't mean you know how to teach a class. Unfortunatly, only person who offers College Physics at LCCC.

Dr. Jon Hart is a great teacher and a great guy. I even spent time after class just talking with him about the material and curent events he became a bit of a friend. I strongly sugest him as a teacher. I also would like to mention spend the extra time in his class to do well he is one of the few teachers that it means so much to see a good student
