excellent, took it at Rugters- finally exam was oral at Lasalle, term paper was challenging....I am a science major, we expect things to be harder then they appear. He was wonderful...sorry other students feel every class should be a bag of easy gold...life is not like that...

He's extremely knowledgable. He has incredible stories. He is kind of tough and some times a little hard to follow. His class is a good alternative to the boring normal christianity classes you have to take.

Dr. Devlin is a man of a different time. He does not use computers, email, power-point or any technology for his lectures beyond VHS. His tests consist of a large number of T/F questions and 5 or more Essay Questions. As long as you turn in the assignments and attend class, you can score relatively low on tests and walk out of the class w/an A/B

The subject material is pretty interesting, but the professor himself is hard of hearing, stubborn in his opinions, and a pretty tough grader. The directions for his paper are near incomprehensible, and you will definitely need to present him with an outline and get an "okay" before you actually start to write the papers. Tests are kinda difficult.

Interesting teacher but he is very liberal and only believes he is right. His tests make no sense and he is all over the place when it comes to notes. Make sure you keep up with the reading and memorize every line.

Very sweet man and an easy grader on papers but his tests are extremely difficult. His notes are incomprehensible with no direction at all. He only takes his own opinion into account and will not accept otherwise.

Although he is very knowledgeable, I would not recommend this professor. His exam was nothing like he stated, when the class protested his response was "that should teach you to trust what I say"

Very smart man but should not be teaching a religion class due to his strong beliefs against christianity and the bible. Hes a hard grader and believes everything he says is right.

He clearly has strong beliefs, but doesn't tolerate the beliefs of others. He's rude, outdated, hard of hearing, knowledgable, and a terrible teacher. I would not recommend this class or this professor to ANYONE. ,

While his tests are lengthy and definitely difficult, he's an interesting teacher and knows a lot of information. He's kind of boring but he really informs you on topics and facts you probably never heard of before. Currently gives three 5-page papers, a mid-term, and final. Nice Guy. I'd take him again if I had to.

introductory class with a 15 page paper and his tests are very oddly put together. hes like jurassic period old and expects everyone to volunteer for discussion. I got a C on the paper, and D on one test and somehow ended up with a solid A for the course. so idk, hes tough but if your one of his favorites he will give you a good grade

Final paper is killer! My class was told about the final paper, but I didn't expect it to be 16 pages long MINIMUM. Every class is lecture, and it's almost always about something from Cherry Hill or another country he traveled to. Really smart, and knows what he's talking about. Shows movies maybe 3 times.

Teaches his opinion only and if you disagree with his opinion your wrong. He is a senile old man who is deaf and always laughs at his own jokes. For the 12 page research paper if you don't write about something he agrees with you get a D.

He is an extremely intelligent professor and is great with historical facts . but his class is extremely boring. he forgets assignments and his tests are long and hard. he has strong views and will belittle your beliefs to prove hes right. I would never recommend this man to anyone unless you enjoy fighting sleep in class.

Probably one of the worst teachers I have ever had. Very smart guy but very confusing. Mixes topics, and class is only his opinion. A midterm and final and a 12 page paper. Class is extremly boring and he always forgets homework he assigns. Don't take him unless you want to be miserable.

He completely makes up information, then teaches it as fact. The sources he cites are conspiracy books written by no-name authors that haven't actually studied what they're writing about--it's pure opinion but he thinks b/c it's from a book he can teach it as fact.
