Comment:

The only reason why I passed this class was because I stopped listening to him and started watching YouTube videos instead. You will have to teach yourself the material when you have issues with no help because Inguanti wants to make a level playing field. I do not recommend for students with learning differences, or new students. SO rude too!

I have never disliked a professor more than this man. He has the largest God complex known to man kind and truly made my first semester of college so hard to bear. Pointless professor and pointless class

Inconsiderate, calls students out often for not paying attention (saying they are disrupting a class of 200 students when they are completely silent), talks to students as if they have all the money in the world to just fly to England to see a museum, and doesn't respond to suggestions.

If you go to the lectures and put in the time to study, you will pass! However, this class is difficult and I had to work really hard to receive a B. Be prepared to study a lot of information!

He is a nice person if you are nice back. There is an unrealistic amount of studying. He told us that you have to study 2 or more hours a day to pass. Therefore, I did not pass. However, he as a person cares about you and is nice, but he doesn't take b.s. BE RESPECTFUL AND HE WILL BE RESPECTFUL BACK.

This class is very lecture heavy and you are only graded on three tests and a couple quizzes. attendance is mandatory otherwise you lose points. He was a great professor and really knows what hes talking about. Im not a fan of Art or History so this wasnt my favorite class but if you are into Art, he is the go to professor!

I truly believe that the class would be interesting (even though I'm not really into art) if he was at least respectful. He's consistently rude and calls people out for literally saying bless you to someone when they sneeze. You have to remember literally every detail of the book/lectures. He makes the class way harder than I.t has to be.

Dr. Inguanti is a extremely intelligent man, but he is certainly not the nicest. he is very condescending and rude; I have heard him call student out in lecture and refer to them as idiots. He definitely holds you accountable for your work, but does not treat you like an equal. He is a great lecturer, yet I would never take his class again.

Art History is not easy. Doctor Inguanti is extremely intelligent and knowledgable. If you are not looking to learn about art or even have an interest in art, then you will not enjoy the history of art. You will hate any art historian that you have for a professor. Do not take his class; you will be wasting his time and expertise.

Awful professor. Very condescending when you answer his questions. Thinks everyone should be as into art like him even though no one actually cares. I'm a very good student, and I found his class EXTREMELY difficult to do well in. Tests are crazy hard, and it doesn't help that he's an insanely hard grader. Don't take this awful class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Must be VERY specific when answering test questions and would take off points if you use incorrect terminology. Made the class a lot more dreadful&harder than it needed to be. Must know lot of EXTREMELY detailed information for a lot of artwork which was very overwhelming/somewhat impossible at times. Im an A student and was happy to receive a C+

By far the worst class you will take, there's a reason why all his reviews are so negative. Professor Inguanti is not only rude, but he makes this class seem like your sole responsibility. Attendance is mandatory, and will affect your grade immensely. Tests are brutal, and you must be VERY specific with him or you will not earn credit for anything.

Prof. Inguanti started his lectures on day one of class and most of the students didn't even have their books yet, expecting us to have read prior to the first class. Furthermore, he is extremely anal about people talking in the lecture, he will call people out for talking when they're not. I do not recommend his classes unless you're an art maj.

This is a hard class with lots of memorization. You really need to stay on top of your information. The co-professor isn't helpful and puts everyone to sleep. Inguanti is good but tough. If you take this class just be ready to really work for that A. It's possible but pretty difficult. !!Crammer counts on essays!!

Comment:

Just to clarify things, he calls people out during lectures for being disrespectful (i.e. talking during class) which is completely reasonable. Anyways, he makes the lectures seem like a Nat Geo episode (one of my favorite channels) and explains well. He's also very supportive. I would recommend him.
