Dr. O'Shea was a very good English teacher. Her lectures consisted of her reading stories from the textbook, and the occasional side-conversation about current events. Her tests require you to learn those stories. Several papers were assigned during the Semester, but they had several topics for each. Her grading was constructive, and fairly easy.

I enjoyed this teacher very much. She has a sense of humor not many teachers have. Writing period was the best for me. All my essays came out great, but with her grading, I know what I kept missing every time I wrote. Compared to high school, she's the best bet to teach you how to write properly.

VERY easy class. Professor is sweet. Do not take if you're honestly looking to improve your writing - she grades very easy. You write several essays on a variety of topics regarding yourself or your perspective - no research required.

American Literature 2. Dr. O'Shea is awesome! She gets the students involved and most helpful is that we go over the homework in class, so you don't really have to do homework. Take good notes and you'll ace the class. The essays are fastand simple too.

She is a really good teacher. Lectures can be a little boring sometimes, but she always has really good stories to tell. It's pretty impossible to fail her class, just show up & do the work. & she also cancels class a lot which was kind of annoying, but it was really no big deal. I recommend her over any other english teacher at WCJC.

This was an easy class (comp I). The essays were easy too, you just need to know your grammar and how to spell. She goes over everything, so it's nearly impossible to fail her class. (Never used the Bedford Handbook--don't waste your money ($50).)
