Comment:

Jude is very kind and passionate about music but isnt the greatest at explaining things. If you dont have experience in music, I dont recommend you taking this class. Only people who had previous experience in music understood and succeeded in this class. The ones, like myself, who dont know anything about music theory were very confused.

I do not recommend taking Navari at all. His lectures are vague and he is very unorganized. He also does not prepare his students a few weeks before a final or midterm. Do not take him.

Jude's such a nice guy! Always seemed in a good mood and ready to teach us. I came into this class wanting to understand more about reading music and he taught us just that. He made learning easy and interactive. Very fun class!

He begins with the basics and builds. I got more from his class than outside teachers. He was always available to give me extra time outside class. He's sweet, caring, & gentle. It isn't scary. You'll sing three songs, do light homework, take quizzes, & practice 3 hrs/week. If you won't attend class, it's not for you. A pleasure to be his student.

Really good guy and super smart. His lectures can be confusing, but he's excellent one-on-one and very accessible. The composition projects were a really good way to put the material to practice. I wish he would teach a composition workshop. Definitely knows his stuff.

Jude Navari knows his stuff. He is a great professor that wants you to succeed. Total of 3 tests in the entire semester including the final! For all 3 tests of the semester he gives you the study guide which makes it easier for you to pass with at least a B. Helpful teacher overall.

Navari is pretty awesome. He will work with you and be *very* patient if you're slow at picking up the technique. I wouldn't recommend any other voice teacher! PLUS he will help you with your important audition peices even if it's not part of the class!

I HIGHLY recommend him!!! He's dorky but passionate and well versed in this subject. I had a blast learning and all homework was fairly easy. I took him my first semester back when I was a slacker. I think I got a C and missed hella work-- looking back, I'm sure I'd get an A now and would take him again!

The tests are easy if you're listening to the lectures in class. The only difficult thing throughout the whole semester is the song project, but he gives you plenty of time to do it and it is a no-brainer if you have a pair of ears and a brain. One music concert is required, which might get fairly pricey.

Great teacher! He's more than willing to take the extra time to help you out if you're not understanding the material. Attendance is super important! No required textbook. Kinda goofy, and looks exactly like Eckley from CSI Vegas, but a great guy.
