One of the better professors I have seen. Takes it slow, doesn't rush through material to finish it. Cares about students, responds promptly to e-mails. Surprised by some previous posts. If you are doing poorly and are mad at him, try scheduling one on one appointment.

He seems like a jerk in class, but he really is a great guy. He doesn't necessarily want his students to exceed on exams, but he absolutely wants them to succeed in life. He's hard because he wants you to work for it. Talking to him one on one or in smaller classes he is a completely different person.
