Jason is such a teddy bear. A really elaborate person but a little too old to teach a class like gcm738 that's about new technologies and stuff. He gives great feedback and is supportive, but a little hard at marking. Wouldn't take his class again but wouldn't mind him if he pops up again. Overall: okay dude.

Give him back to us. Take Gillian as Chairman instead. We don't want her to teach us.

So.. many people have their doubts about jason but personally, i really enjoyed his class. He marks essays and assignment really fairly. Exam questions for the most part are nothing you wouldn't have already seen before if you attend class. Only thing is some times lectures were dry but i assume its just because some of the content its self was dry

Honestly one of the worst learning experience. On top of of the 30 powerpoint slides that are full of words, you makes you reads at least 4 websites per week that are full of useless info and take a full day to get through. They'll also ALL be on the exams instead of the content learned in class. Avoid if you can

He's a great marker. The essays and in-class assignments are easy because he actually reads them, but the midterm and final are obviously fair game since it is just scantron. He's very helpful if you just ask and he's incredibly kind too, you just need to take the time to get to know him, rather than assuming he's bad from word of mouth

Jason is the most passionate professor I've ever had! He really cares about the material and his students and is beyond educated on what he is teaching. I'm so glad i've been in his classes each semester, and I feel it is so unfair that he is rated so low because of the GCM110 exam last semester. He's definitely the best GCM professor we have.

Jason's lectures are clear and simple. Almost all information is put on PowerPoint slides (which are posted online as well) but note taking is encouraged since a lot of the material is technical. He responds to emails relatively quickly if you have any questions and often gives assignment extensions if students ask. Passionate and knowledgeable!

Jason is one of my favourite profs here at GCM. Some think his lectures are boring but i think as a prof, he's pretty good. He's really caring (gives us extensions a lot and marks pretty fairly on assignments). He's also funny sometimes too and gives inspirational quotes of the day.. Beware though participation matters, so try not to skip too much.

Not sure why a lot of people dislike his teaching style. It's simple. clear and concise. Material is a little tough to understand but gets easier. Lectures aren't dry if you pay attention.

Boring lectures and he does not communicate very well. Somewhat of a hard grader, exams are very technical and it does not set you up for success.

Jason was an ok prof. His lectures are super dry. If you aren't a GCM major you're going to find this class extremely difficult as majority of the content is technical and very detailed, making it hard to memorize. He marks extremely hard and the exams will be impossible if you aren't a GCM major. Though he is a caring guy and very passionate.

He marks the photoshop challenges as if you're at his level of expertise in Photoshop when in reality majority of the students aren't familiar with Photoshop. He also doesn't provide enough feedback leaving you hanging not knowing what to improve on for future assignments. His midterm and exam were super easy and tutorials were quite fun.

He isn't as bad as people say he is. He may be quiet but he sure doesn't talk fast when explaining the material. His assignments are pretty interesting. However, be aware of in class assessments and do well on all assignments including the midterm and exam - those are the only things that count towards your final grade.

Jason's not bad, he extended an assignment by an extra 10 days, and his jokes and stories are pretty cool. This is coming from a first year GCM student. Jason speaks at a good pace, other people are just slow. He didn't penalize any GCM students about the exam formula sheet. Final exam was like the midterm, not hard. Field trip was boring though

If you could avoid having him on your schedule, by all means do so. His final exam was so hard and focuses on technical stuff that you can't memorize. He doesn't really understand how stressful Uni is for students. He also makes the content harder then it has to be even though everything you're learning is only used in that class

The course isn't the hardest but the way Jason presents the info is quite boring. He could slow his pace down a little cus you basically need to write down everything he says and it feels hard to ask him to repeat things. Exam rules aren't the most clear and stressed about failing over a formula sheet? No logic. Vague mark schemes and exam was HARD

exam instructions were not made as clear as possible especially about writing your name and student number on a formula sheet or it's an automatic zero rule. he couldve informed inviligators on the exam about this rule and say this rule in one of the last few lectures in class.

He's kinda dry and typically "creativity" is subjective but in Jason's class its very much a criteria that he marks critically. He creates tests without telling you what to expect, you kind of just have to study and pray to whatever God u believe in that his vague powerpoint slide and lectures will help u pass
