Comment:
Her lectures are just background information that you will never need but its still good to go because you learn the poems better. Exam is the longest you will ever write, its 5 parts and includes 2 essays. She loves poetry and how it sounds and feels so once you get the hang of what she wants its easy to succeed. bonus tip: she likes cover pages.

Kathryn is the most amazing professor. She is so caring and understanding as long as you communicate. I have taken so many classes with and have learned so much (especially with poetry). She is funny, kind, and fair. I would recommended her to anyone, anytime.

She told me she assumed I had dropped the class after I missed two for being incredibly sick and initially refused to allow me to write the final paper. It wasn't due for another week and she gave me 12 hours to write it despite the fact that I would've had the same amount of time as everyone else if she'd let me.

Kathryn is the best professor I've ever had. While she does have high expectations, I've learned so much in her classes (especially poetry). She is incredibly intelligent and kind-hearted, and I am so happy that I've gotten the chance to learn from her and get to know her personally! Take a class with her if you want to be challenged and inspired.

Kathryn may be one of the most intelligent, if not the most intelligent person, I've ever met. She knows more about the subjects she's teaching on than I have seen with any other Professor.

Take Kathryne's courses if you want to look at poetry from another perspective or if you enjoyed Stephen Brown's courses. I find their philosophies and teaching styles similar.

I liked Prof. Chittick as a person, but didn't really enjoy her course. Her readings were challenging and we didn't spend enough time discussing them. Her papers were a challenge because she prefers a slightly different style of writing. I didn't do as well in her course as I have in other eng. courses.

I had Prof. Chittick in the mid to late eighties, so I can't recall course codes...had her for two Engish courses and her wry/dry wit was always appreciated. She is a clear communicator and bright thinker. Her strengths have to be Dickens and poetry; my student days spent in her classes helps to inform my current high school English teaching.

The most BORING professor I've ever had. Did pretty well in her class, but lectures had nothing to do with evaluations & seminars were just counting syllables in poetry. Extremely uninspiring look at the material. Can't lead a discussion to save her life.

This beautiful graceful, wonderful woman taught me more about Dickens, Byron, Coleridge, and Shelley than I can say. She is who I want to be when I grow up :) !!!
