Absolutely amazing professor. Extremely intelligent. You will have to work in this class, but you will learn so much. Absolutely no phones, but the class is engaging and entertaining. Get books ASAP.

Agreed. Knowledgeable, and maybe kind to some; I found the opposite. This individual gets personal, Moral, and loves his own testimony. I found 30% of the class to be about his own experience. Speaking of experience, it was one of the worst I've ever had @ university. Do yourself a favor and save your $ for a more informative course.

The first couple of weeks youre going to have no clue what the hell he is talking about.. but then the first test comes around and you know everything on there. He is seriously awesome, he really cares about his students. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Very interesting class, expect to show up everyday if you want to do good on his exams. 3 exams, mainly written. One book read throughout the semester (not textbook), some questions on the exams came from the book. 2 debates per person during the semester and lastly one major project worth quite a bit of the grade. Just show up and apply yourself!

Great very knowledgeable professor! he is interested in helping students and seeing students succeed. Grades based on: 5 Film Reviews, 3 exams, Music presentation, Family Presentation. Exams are multiple choice, tf, & short answers. Professor offers extra credit which is helpful and gives extra points for attendance

He is a kind, knowledgeable man. If you go to class ACCOMPANIED BY TAKING THOROUGH NOTES, and pay attention to details like setting in movies he assigns then its very hard to fail. However, if you don't attend classes enough, you CANT pass because there is no textbook or review/guide of the material covered. Also he goes on random moral tangents.

He is absolutely wonderful. He is hilarious, sometimes silly sometimes super sarcastic, and he relates his lectures to real events that he doesnt always test over but are got to know! MANDATORY ATTENDANCE. And he learns your name when you participate in class and helps you out a lot IF YOU SEEK HELP. Honestly ppl, dont complain if you didnt try.

Very good person. Good man. But he often gives moral lectures that aren't relevant, and are politically one sided. His exams don't test your knowledge/understanding, but more memorization about lectures and random details about movies. Sounds easy right, well for me it was anything but. Class exam averages show there is something wrong.

He knows your name after hearing it once. Very sharp man, not much gets past him. Does tend to give moral lectures and speak on topics not related to Geography. Overall a very nice man, and an interesting teacher.

What a sweet, sweet man. His class is so interesting that it almost turned me into a geography major. He picks on people for answers but doesn't dwell or thrive on embarrassing you. I was in the summer session class and the material was presented well so that we got a survey of the subject. Write down everything he says 3 times, it's on the test.

Excellent professor. This man is incredibly knowledgeable and has an amazing way of passing his knowledge on to his students. The type of professor that makes you want to take extra classes just so that you can be his student for a little while longer. He truly cares about each person in his class and wants you to succeed. Definitely recommend.

Took him during the summer. He does not cover the book at all but tells you what to read on them. He tells you what to study for the test and as long as you took notes during lecture you will get an "A" all multiple choice EASY. Don't disagree with him though or you may fine that he will argue about it for a while. Overall great teacher.

I LOVE HIM!!! He is the best prof I have ever had. You have to attend class to get the notes for the class. It's a fun interactive class. He will call on people and ask them questions so be prepared. It's a medium size class but he learns people's names and it give a small classroom feel. I definitely recommend taking him!
