It's really hard to not get an A or B in this class. Wrote 3 papers (1 that I recycled from high school) and got an A. He tells you if you skip you automatically fail-FALSE. It was a twice a week class and I missed at least 1/2 days a week. Def not an English class, more of a selfhelp/advice class. Super easy- HIGHLY RECOMMEND

There are only four assignments for the class which are very easy. Basically turn in the assignments and youll earn an A. Attending a few classes is necessary for one paper because it is based on what he talks about in lectures. If you can sit through a pointless/boring lecture for an hour and fifteen its alright. He often rants.

He lectured about mindfulness and random things. He is a conspiracy theorist and when he started going on about 9/11 I left the room.

Professor George is certainly unique. Although I took written English with him, the class was more about thinking than writing. You have a few papers assigned and work on them at your own pace. You can turn in as many drafts as you want, but feedback was minimal for me. He lectures every class and expects you to take notes. Definitely unorthodox.

He lectures every day, but attendance is not mandatory. There are no due dates, besides all papers being due by the final. He is very understanding so if you get behind on your work, just go talk to him. Lectures about everything but English, but he is very interesting to listen to. Although attendance isn't mandatory, I recommend going!

Often lectures turned completely off topic, but interesting nonetheless. There were several papers but it was all mainly self paced. As far as getting information on english related topics, you don't get much but he does open your eyes to other sides of things.

Prof. George is the smartest man at FSU. He doesn't talk about English or literature as much as he does morality and philosophy and his political views, which make a lot of sense if you actually think about them. If you pay attention and do the work, you'll learn more in this class than you will any other class...just...not about English. :)

Dr. George is very laid-back. He gives students many opportunities to correct and improve their work. On Fridays, he let us out of class early. :)

Truly cares about his students. He does rant, but anything he covers is purely beneficial to the students' well being. He's a VERY intelligent professor, one of the smartest on campus. So far, we haven't used the book once. A helpful note: TAKE NOTES.

He's a good and really intelligent teacher. Definitely willing to help develop his students' understanding of things. Becomes distracted very easily, and rants...A LOT. My advice: don't be intimidated by his views, but do take them into consideration. I don't recall really using the book at all.

Very clear, very intelligent. Talks about radical and abrasive concepts, but is logical and makes sense if you can get through his method of speaking and sometimes ridiculous-sounding ideas.

I had him for Technical Report Writing. It was a very useful class. One of the assignments we had was to write up a resume. That's something I know I will use in life. We never once used the text book. yes, he swears a lot and rambles on about non-English related subjects, but he is a very intelligent man in more than on subject. Take him.

Not your average English class; no reading involved and very few papers. He enjoys lecturing, typically about finding enlightenment in this life. He's slightly strange but if you look past that you'll find a lot of what he says is wise.

This is not your traditional English class. Only three papers, typed notes, and dictionary work as homework. However, you learn so much more than ordinary English. He rants and curses a LOT, but they are almost always entertaining and blunt. Despite not having the best hygiene, he is probably the most brilliant man at FSU.

Dr. George is a pure genius, although he lacks focus. This class is not so much writing a research paper as it is a study of connotations and word nuances coupled with philosophies on curiousity and human nature. I was in the honors class, so unsure if it applies to everyone else. Great man, brillant as hell, and not as crazy as everyone lets on.
