Comment:

I really enjoyed this class. It was very hands on which is great because now we can apply this work to our future classrooms. I enjoyed that she was focused on getting us ready for the future. Whether that be the PRAXIS exam or just our careers. She was the best teacher to transition online due to COVID-19, it was practically seamless.

Comment:

Unlike some of the students on here who clearly were mad because of their own low performance in math, I found Leslie to be the most approachable / helpful / passionate professor I have had at any level of schooling. Though she may get annoyed with rude idiots who "argue" about math, she has unending desire and ability to help her students...

To begin I was not about her as a professor but as the semester went on her and I really connected. Math is no my strong suite, but I showed that I cared in the class and worked my butt off, attending her office hours I ended up with an A-, and she gave me a math award for my hard work. If you really want to learn, Leslie is your girl.

I did not enjoy Goldstein at all! for being the head of the math department I feel as though she should be a better professor and actually help us when we need it. If I had to give her a grade, you best bet she would get a D!

I had Prof. Goldstein for two months before I had to transfer to another school. She is by far one of the best profs I have ever had. She expects you to work for your grade and not slack off, but she is very kind and is willing to work with you. She cares about her students a lot.

Leslie is an amazing teacher and an even better person. She's very helpful, respectful and respectable. I'm very thankful to have taken this class with her because she made sure it made sense (and would explain it many times if necessary). She is an overall amazing person and I highly recommend her.

She's such a cute lady! Goofy... understatement. Kind of scatterbrained, but always there to help. There will be days where she'll make you crazy. Do the work. Don't half-ass it. You'll ace the class.

She's a decent teacher, but I really don't appreciate her "both answers are correct" philosophy, (in my opinion, you can't have 4 and 6 both "correct" answers to an algebraic equation). She often goes for "her preference of an equation instead of the more accurate one. I don't think that is a very professional way to approach math.

Leslie is by far the best math teacher I have ever had. She is structured, organized, and fair, and she is always willing to go the extra mile to help students. She also controls the class beautifully by not letting disruptive students reign supreme!

I failed this class because I missed it 6 times, even though I had a 77% in the class at the time. If a student misses a class 6 times or more in math 110, he/she fails it, no matter what their grade. I missed class for the 6th time the last class before the final and the teacher failed me, 2 days before the final. go to class.
