Comment:

Professor Mongo is a super cool person and extremely helpful and nice. I like writing but didn't enjoy writing the papers she assigned. Very limited in the stuff she wants you to write about. Not much homework. She takes attendance so go to class. Very accessible outside of class.

Comment:

Her class was ok. She called me out in class a lot and I wouldn't do anything wrong. She did this with other students too. She has a high self-esteem and it comes off rude to people. She got mad when I asked for my grade because I "should be passionate about it and stop caring about my grade" as if it won't matter for grad school. Don't take her.

Comment:

Professor Mongno was great. Her class is based around the book Geography of Bliss and happiness. She is very kind to everybody and truly tries to help and teach her students things that can be used in the real world. The class was enjoyable to go to. I would not worry about buying the book, just read it in the library.

Mongnos class was overall easy. Just be prepared to show up & participate. Dont bother buying her $90 mandatory book, it was never opened or tested over. She is a nice lady but she definitely plays favorites. so kiss up & youll get an A.

Not a coincidence that she is the author of the incomplete and typo-ridden $90 textbook that is required for class. Its November and not a single grade is posted. You will learn some about writing, but if youre like me and do not care one bit about English, prepare to be mad and confused about your grade for 15 weeks. Take someone else.

i love professor mongo! she is such a joy in class every day and is kind to every student in her class. the class requires and lot of writing based on the book Geography of Bliss, but it is not difficult if you are a pretty good writer. One research paper. Group paper. A few reflections (single spaced). class is based around happiness.

Her class was interesting. Go to class or you'll get dropped. There weren't any tests. The papers are hard to write because you have to listen to songs for some of them and it takes a long time. I wouldn't take her again because I feel like I didn't really learn much about improving my writing. She lets you revise one of your essays at the end.

Professor Mongno was probably one of my most enjoyable professors to date. I enjoy writing, so I thought her class was really fun. We only had a few essays and very little homework. As long as you show up to class, attend office appointments, and spend some time on your papers, you're guaranteed an A or B. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

She is my favorite teacher! I was dreading this class because I hate writing but class was always interesting and its an easy A! You have to come to class to know about the assignments, she doesn't use email much so just show up and you'll pass. 5 papers total I think. See about sharing a book! Only used it a couple times! Take her!!

Professor Mongno is an amazing teacher. Her teaching styles aren't traditional, but in a way it gives you more room to be creative in your writing. The class isn't hard, and participation is not required. You write journals everyday on student picked topics (which also gives extra points for mid-term & finals). She is kind of all over the place.

she is a very good teacher. very laid back but you HAVE to go to class to pass. read the book because she will quiz you over it when she feels. She goes off topic sometimes (well alot of times) but you get out early sometimes. you have mulitiple times to write a paper.

I LOVE Professor Mongno! If you're scared because it is a writing course, TAKE HER! She is so helpful, and makes the papers you write about something you would like. I hated writing until I took her. If you actually try, you are guaranteed an easy A.

Professor Mongno was overall okay. Super easy class. However, she has a VERY high self esteem. Now that is not a bad thing but lets be real. Nobody cares about her bragging about herself and her so called great accomplishments. I mean you'll get an A but you gotta suffer in class.

Comment:

She is very helpful and is very open to critique and help you revise your papers before the due date. The in-class peer reviews are also very helpful. If you turn things in on time and put out genuine effort you will do well, and if you want to do exceptionally well, nothing will stop you other than unwillingness to put in a little extra time.
