Horrible professor, yells at students during exams. Takes personal calls during class. Has a cruel disposition and makes bizarre jokes. Claims to know certain noteworthy people, she doesn't. Claimed to know a distant family member of mine, I contacted him, he has never met her, he has read one article by her but never had contact with her. ADVOID!!

This teacher gets a bad rap - she's tough but fair, if you communicate with her. She'll also tell you how to get an A in her class if you follow what she says. Don't take her if you don't write well or won't take suggestions to improve your writing. Lots of work but she's never been unfair - and I've had 4 course with her.

She is god awful. She thinks she is some sort of know-it-all. Nothing you can say or do is right. She actually says that she "will not take away your god given right to fail her class." Even though I had decent grades she uttered this to me. She is just so bad, it is disgusting that Buff State still has her there!

This class is the biggest waste of time. The materials for her class are a joke. She basically wants us to buy things that her friends produced so they can get the money, and she justifies it by giving us stupid assignments on them. I took this class to learn about folklore, but I haven't learned one thing at all.

She takes a little bit to get use to.If you pay attention, take notes and check the wiki you will do just fine.be honest with her when it comes to your paper.I had a hard time finding articles about my paper, when i informed her she sat down and helped me with what i was looking for and directed me else where to look.Take her only if you have time!

Dr. Fish is a fascinating person and a well-versed folklorist. For writing intensive sections, you need to be able to write on a college level; know proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. If you do the reading and write intelligently, you will have no problems - and if you're interested in the material, you will enjoy the class.

This class is a waste of time! If you read the descripion of the class you might be tempted to take it. DON'T she has no idea what she is talking about. She doesn't bother to teach, you are expected to teach yourself. You never know what kind of mood she is in, one mintue she is nice the next she is very rude. Both professor and class are wothless.

Absolutely the worst teacher Ive ever had. Im a 4.0 student and she made me feel like a moron because she made no sense. If you want to be treated like a piece of crap and get angry answers back to your questions then go ahead and take this class...If not, stay away!!!!!!

don't take this class please. She is one of the worst Professors I have ever had. Spent half the class on folklore of the military then the other half on watching films that would put anybody to sleep. Also she has very screwed up ideas about the paper that we have to write. Lets just say submitting 8 biblographies is nuts

This class and professor is by far one of the WORST I have taken. I took the Summer 3 week class. The professor is nasty, rude and sarcastic. And the topic of Air Force Fokelore songs is so far out there it's not funny! The Registar told me my grades because I put up with her class, they don't even like her!

Lydia Fish is an amazing woman. Albiet, I do have a strong interest in the subject matter, I find her to be a kindred spirit with a wholly good heart and an even more impressive head on her shoulders. Anyone who does not absorb the things that she says will be left an emptier soul.

Okay, seriously. Don't get me wrong, it was extremely easy, I pulled an A in it, but just... BORING. There's more to folklore than the air force, and I'd like to have learned it, rather than just touched on it. Extremely boring, and she can fly off the handle sometimes for small offenses.
