She was a great teacher and thoroughly enjoyed her Medieval Literature class, but it was very difficult. I recommend this class if you are truly a hard worker.

I had a really tough time in this class. You have to read everything in detail to even remotely understand the content, but the content itself is so hard to read. I found myself literally going insane trying to figure out what she wanted from me to get a better grade, but nothing I did was ever good enough.

History of the english language was one the of the best classes I've ever taken. She seems to know everything about the subject, and I learned so much. That being said, it can be a difficult class if you slack off or skip class. It's not impossible to get an A though, and she cares about her students and wants to see everyone succeed.

She's one of the sweetest professors, our class was small enough to where she brought in homemade treats every once and a while. Get ready to read A LOT. You will write a lot of papers on what you read so start early and don't procrastinate.

READ. THE. BOOKS. If you read the books, everything is so easy. You just have to show that you really have thought about the material. Monteverde is kind, but also incredibly sarcastic. She is not a fan of technology and often scolds her computer or the projector, which is amusing. If you have to take one of the classes she teaches, take Monteverde

I had her for an honors class. She really cares about her students (even brought food to class one day). She makes it easy to care about her class and to provoke interesting discussion. Just make sure you keep up with the reading because her lectures can get confusing and lost in rabbit holes of digression.

Great class! Skeptical of how interesting a medieval culture class could be, but it turned out being one of my favorite classes! Dr. Monteverde is incredibly helpful and always went out of her way to meet with students or give them pointers. Would definitely love to take another one of her classes!!!

I had Dr. Monteverde for my LCC class. She is a lovely lady who I found to be a pretty easy grader. Her classes can get a little long because they are discussion based, but the course material was interesting.

I also had her for GN 1015. Dr. Monteverde is a wonderful teacher. She is very kind-hearted. She is always willing to help you out. She gives you all of your readings and assignments in advance. If you do what you are assigned, her classes can be great. She is great with discussion and is an understanding person in general. I highly recommend her.

History of the English Language is the best class I've taken at Belmont. Montverde is genius and unique and challenging in the very best way. Not for the casual learner though--don't take her unless English really gets you going.

I had her for Medieval literature and Arthurian Romance. She's a neat lady and LOVES the Middle Ages, but her classes are DIFFICULT. She assigns ridiculous amounts of reading for each class periods, but if you work hard you can still get a good grade without doing all the reading.

A gem of a class. Montaverde is a wonderful teacher, helpful if you put in the effort, amazingly clear when teaching. She uses the class for a dynamic discussion on the day's topic. Very interactive, very entertaining, an incredibly intelligent teacher... take this class if you have any love of literature!

She taught the first few weeks of this class when Dr. Murray was out sick. I enjoyed her teaching very much, and wouldn't have minded if she had stayed the whole semester.
