I am learning so much about diet and food products and have really changed my diet and feel so much better than I've felt in a long time. The lectures are so interesting and she explains things real well and shows cool videos. I'm so glad I'm taking this class and I highly recommend it.

Comment:

Good lecturer, makes you really think about what you put in your mouth. Good sense of humor and makes learning easy BUT you must study for the tests. She basically tells you what will be on the test and it helps to write it down. Exam reviews help so much. The online practice quizzes and flashcards help with getting ready for the tests.

Professor Lovenheim is an excellent teacher. She's always smiling and is extremely helpful. This class was so useful that I wish I could take it again. It definitely makes you look at your life choices and gives clarity to many issues one may have. I recommend this class to everyone even if it's not a requirement for your major.

The subject matter is important because we all have to eat. I respect her knowledge, she's on top of things, tells us how to figure out the ingredients and which may be bad and which not to stress over, and I've really made my diet better, my skin looks better and I am less depressed since changing what I eat. Professor Lovenheim is a really nice lady. She gives you all the resources you need to pass her class but you do need to take some time to study. She will send you tons of e-mails during the semester so make sure you keep up on checking your e-mail every day. If you need to get a science credit out of the way I would recommend taking her class.

She does NOT just read powerpoints and she adds interesting stories of her clients and makes difficult concepts easy to understand. She only seems scatterbrained when having techy problems with loading a video but seems to have it under control now. Great class.

She's really thorough and I wish more profs had the interest in their subject that she does, but 90% of her class is her reading her powerpoints aloud. Since she has them online and we don't need to bring the book in I felt like I was in class just for attendance. She's also a little scatterbrained. Overall good class though, just dry.

Good teacher, interesting class. The assignments were interesting, not too easy but not extremely difficult either. Enjoyed the project, very interesting. Often communicated homework via email, which was frustrating at times.

Professor Lovenheim is an awesome teacher.I can honestly say I have never enjoyed a course as much as I did this one. Professor Lovenheim is a dedicated teacher who is on top of her profession. She taught all the course material in such a manner that it drew you into the learning process. The class was never boring. Do the work and study an easy A.

Wonderful professor (one of my favs) who is clear, knowledgeable, quirky at times, and really knows about food and nutrition and even the politics involved. She tells stories about her clients who see her for nutrition counseling, we get to see videos, do group work, hear about food news, and really motivated me to change my horrid food choices.

Professor Lovenheim was a nice teacher who taught very clearly and always made sure we understood 100% her test were very easy and fun a lot of bonus questions. I just wish all of the teachers were as nice as her. I will strongly recomend this teacher to anyone thats taking Nutrion 117.
