Great guy. He really wants you to understand the curriculum and to succeed. He is very flexible and will work with you. If you do not understand something - don't be afraid to say so. He will not make you feel stupid and will keep working with you until it clicks.

Although this class was very easy for me, he was VERY VERY helpful to the people who did not understand it. Homework almost every day, but super easy (MyMathLab). He would reopen an assignment if you missed it, and is very understanding if you need help. Great math teacher, and made the class enjoyable rather than dreadful. Do recommend!

I have always hated math, and it was always my Achilles heel in my educational journey, however, Professor Ellis is one of those rare teachers that makes it fun and entertaining as well as sharpening your skills all at the same time. He gives plenty of opportunities for the student to get a great grade and he is the most empathetic prof on campus

Professor Ellis was AMAZING, he is ALWAYS willing to help, gives great feedback, and makes math so easy to understand ( I HATE MATH) and if you don't, he will make sure you do. I had some pretty rough situations this semester and he went above and beyond to make sure we passed and did all we needed to, to pass. If you can TAKE HIM!!!

HE WAS AN AMAZING TEACHER! I HAD BEEN OUT OF SCHOOL ALMOST 20 YEARS AND NEEDED TO REFRESH MY ALGEBRA. HE MADE IT COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE AND EASY. HE WAS WONDERFUL. IF YOU HAD QUESTION HE WAS THERE TO HELP. TOOK ALL THE REFRESHER ALGEBRA CLASSES I COULD WITH HIM AND FELT CONFIDENT TO GO ON TO COLLEGE ALGEBRA.

had him a year ago. but was my first math prof. in college & hands down the best I have had since grade school. really knows math. and more importantly, knows how to explain things clearly. am hoping to have him again! also, knows how to joke and keep the class entertained. also can give some students a hard time when they try to "act out" lol.

He is a very helpful teacher but he is rude and he lowered my test grade because I asked a question that offend him. it was a math question. also he always picked on me and said he took off 5 points on every test question because he thought i was rude. that was very unfair. this feud all started over of a question i asked him about a math problem.

Mr. Ellis is the best math teacher I have ever had. He was very clear and didn't do a lot of extra steps to get the answers. He made sure his students understood what the expectations were on the first day of class. He also made sure we understood how to solve problems and went over a lot of the problems in class. A+ teacher hands down

Professor Ellis made a 7:30a class really fun and enjoyable. He really wakes you up. He is such a sweet man. He is definitely passionate at teaching. Best Teacher by far, very helpful, articulate, and clear. Take him. You will not regret it. I left with an A. =)

I have had him for 89, 90 and now 91. He is by far the best teacher at Rock Valley College. Makes learning math a whole lot easier then most would! Always has a positive attitude. I wish I could continue taking all my math classes with him. No joke he is the best teacher around! Do not bother taking math with any other teacher!
