He's an amazing instructor and teaches material that's applicable to everyday life. He has a very strong moral-almost spiritual drive in his teaching style which I found refreshing. Be prepared for awe inspiring field trips in Race and Ethnicity, and if you're ethnocentric good luck!

I have taken many classes from Marshall. I go to class, having read the text, and leave thinking something completely different. He challenges ideas and really wants discussion to help with understanding. His style is formulaic and easy to get the hang of. He's a great advisor and good friend!

Great person w/ lots of knowledge. Very interesting lectures. Sociology issues, concepts and experiences are actively discuss in the class. He likes to hear ur opinions too. Highly recommended.
