This class is HARD. Almost graduate level. BUT, if you go to class, do the work, study when he hints there is going to be a pop quiz, don't procrastinate for the papers and presentations, you will get an A. I learned an amazing amount of information on psycholinguistics. I highly recommend Dr. Louwerse for both General Psych and Psycholinguistics.

Max is one the best teachers i've had. i enjoyed this class very much. He does move a little fast sometimes, but it always more than happy to slow down and explain better! Don't listen to the people saying not to take him. Just go to class and complete subject pools and you're almost guaranteed an A! FAVORITE CLASS SO FAR!

This is the hardest class I've EVER taken. I have had anxiety ever since the class started. There are so many projects and papers it's ridiculous. We have to do a 10 min presentation. pop quizzes. Everyone in the class is overwhelmed, and if it wasn't too late I would definitely drop it... I do not recommend this class or teacher to anyone.

Really fun teacher. Class required a lot of writing papers and studying for pop quizzes, but he is not a tough grader. Not an easy A, but one of my favorite classes.

(Honors class) He's great. You can ask him as many questions as you want (email, talking, office hours) He's there for you. The papers (4) aren't that bad if you actually have an interest in Psychology. Pop quizzes are tough - just pay attention in class. Online quizzes are E-A-S-Y! Lectures are more like interactve discussions. He's a lot of fun!

Gen-Honors! Max is great. A few research papers you get to pick your topic and if you email him he'll help. The pop quizzes range from really easy to mind-boggling just take good notes. He's really excited all the time and enjoys when students challenge him, but be prepared to be challenged back. Helps to read the book; online quizzes are cake.

He is very hard, but it's because he actually wants you to learn something instead of regurgitating facts then forgetting them. The papers are difficult and time consuming so be prepared to work like crazy. I learned more in his class than any other psyc class so far. give him a chance and you'll be glad you did. If you're lazy, don't take Max!

This class gave me anxiety. He expects you to teach yourself by reading the textbook, puts students on the spot in class, and gave absolutely no direction for what was going to be on quizzes. HATE HATE HATED this class so much that I had to drop it. TERRIBLE!

his honors class consists of 4 research papers, which are really difficult. There are pop quizzes every other day and easy online quizzes you have to do. Overall easy class but it's challenging if you do not have a lot of time to write papers.

I took the honors class. He isn't all that hard, just be prepared to write alot of papers. You baisically write 4 papers (the research is hard though), have pop quizes (not so hard if you listen in class), online quizes (easy and you can retake them till you get a 100), and one presentation. thats it. no exam.

He thinks you are a grad student. If you're honors, look forward to twice as much work as the non honors students. I took him for Psych of Lang and it was a disaster! I did not learn a thing and it was way over my head. He seems to grade on effort, I never missed class but failed quizzes but did good on papers. Somehow he felt sorry for me an A.

Do not take Psychology of Language with him. He teaches from a graduate level textbook and you will not learn a thing. The idea sounds cool, but psycholinguistics is not cool, and the way he teaches is geared to graduate students so it is really hard

If you're an honors student, definitely take him. The quizzes are tough, and you'll have to write a few papers, but he's one of the best teachers I've ever had. Ask him about the flying car.

I've took General Psychology Honors, and it was the most challenging course that I have ever taken of all of the classes. I've got a B in the class (because on my quizzes), but I have enjoyed the class. Max is a very good professor.
