for a 50 minute class she spent about 40-45 minutes talking about the authors lives looking up pictures of the authors and/or watching YouTube videos We spent maybe 5-10 minutes talking about the actual reading if that. That wouldnt be a bad problem but she tests you over the reading, history dates and other things not disc. in class

Loved her! She is so sweet and helpful! I would recommend her in a heartbeat! She grades the papers very fairly. You will also have quizzes over some readings, that are easy if you read, to give you extra points. If you try in the course, you will succeed.

Expects way too much for a humanities course. If you're only taking 12-15 hours and wouldn't mind devoting a great deal of time to a core class, than take this teacher; otherwise explore other avenues. Tests are somewhat lengthy and very difficult to get an A. I would strongly recommend against Mrs. Smith (even though she is a nice lady).

She is very open, nice, and intelligent. She understands that not everyone wants to take Humanities, but still displays an incredible passion for the class. The class involves reading, discussions, quizes, exams, and papers. The papers are easy, the exams have great study guides with every question, but the quizes are where I struggled. Take her.

She's a really nice lady who is extremely helpful. It's easy to get a good grade, but you will really learn a lot and become a much better writer. No tests, only 4-5 papers. She personally reviews all of our papers and gives us each advise on it before we do a peer review and actually turn it in.

Absolutley amazing teacher. Enjoys getting to know her students and always engages everyone in class. Excellent teacher with totally relevant assignments. Some things are a little difficult, but as long as you stay on top of the things assigned and the reading, you should have no problems! Hands down my favorite prof. at USI! :)

Very nice lady...relates to students well...takes interest in everyone in the class and will help if needed....most assignments are pretty straightforward unless its an essay which lets the students pick their own topics most of the time...if you want to pass english 101 take this ladies class.
