Comment:

Dr Brewster is by far the best teacher at WCU. Being the head of the department she has a lot on her plate at all times but she never once has showed that. She is willing to help and answer your phone calls whenever you need. Class is never boring and she really makes you understand the material before leaving class.

Comment:

I think Brewster is a smart woman and a challenging professor. But we are in college to learn even though some classes are much easier than others. I think shes a fair professor and the first test is the hardest so you have time to study if you were caught off guard. Overall, this class simply requires work outside of the classroom.

Notes are not posted online, reading the book doesn't help. only things she posts are study guides that you have to fill out yourself and there's no way to know if your right.. you miss a slide of notes in class and it could be the only chance you get to write material down.. pretty sure there's stuff not on the slides that's on the tests too

makes the class way more difficult than it needs to be. i recommend taking another professor for any class she teaches. you are better off waiting a semester to take a class with a different teacher. she is the department chair but the hardest professor for any criminal justice classes...

Research is very dry material, so it's hard to keep that interesting. She has a voice easy to fall asleep to but she is extremely nice! She also cares about the students and makes sure everyone understands.

Professor Brewster is a fantastic teacher! She is extremly helpful and really cares that you do well. Professor Brewster is more than fair! I am so glad that I had her for Criminal Reseach.

Victimology Dr. Brewster is a really nice woman, she makes class fairly interesting with guest speakers. Probably one of my favorite professors, I recommend her, shes not too hard, but you do have to study somewhat, and she is helpful in what you have to study. Shes very soft spoken, and has a good heart.

Shes a very nice lady but an awful teacher. Her voice is so soft and monotone she puts me to sleep and loses my interest. Take her for research bc she makes it easy but do not take her for a crj elective, its not worth it take someone else.

Nicest prof. She cares about all her students and will do anything to make sure you know material. Material was boring but its hard to make research methods interesting. Do not need to buy book for this class, she gives notes, just have to attend class and you will do well.
