Dr. Evans is nice, but he is not helpful at all. He never replies to emails, and never is around to help.

Love Evans! He's the best! His class is extremely easy! You have 2 test and 3 projects. The projects are really easy and the test are pretty easy mostly common sense if you know anything about the Hospitality Field. He's a little boring during lecture but has been and seen a lot of places. WOULD RECOMMEND!

He doesn't act like he cares about his classes or students. Had him for 2 hospitality classes and still have a bad impression. His lectures are not useful or helpful and he never seems excited about the material (unless it has to do with the grove park inn or wineries). I wish there were more options for HOS intro professors.

Great teacher. Good man. As long as you get on his good side you'll be fine. Get on his bad side, and it's your own fault. First test pretty easy, second test pretty difficult. Project is very, very detailed. Other than that, great teacher.

Evans is the worst teacher you could ask for in the Hospitality field. He's boring, rambles, and talks about nothing relative to the exams or final project. Taught myself everything. Avoid him if you can. If you can't, dont sit in the front, he spits.

Dr. Evans is a very nice guy, even if his material can be a little boring at times. If you are not a hospitality major, you probably won't enjoy his class. The tests aren't as straight as you would like, but scan the chapters, attend class, and read over the powerpoints, its not hard at all. Great personality and would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Evans is a really nice professor, his lectures are kind of boring to most but I enjoyed them because they were pretty interesting. As long as you introduce yourself the first day and get to know him throughout the semester he'll take care of you! Plus his projects are pretty fun and easy as long as you put in the time

Don't sit in the front. He spits when he talks. Overall he is a nice guy. Tests are impossible. Doesn't teach, just talks about wine. No clarity at all. Once he asked on a test for us to write a detailed menu. Well, this is hos mgt, NOT a culinary course, obviously most people didn't do well. He actually read someone's test out loud. Humiliating.

you can't avoid him if you're majoring in this. he is really boring and talks about wine all the time. i was really excited for this class, and then two weeks in a wanted to scream everytime i had to go to class. the one page reports are easy but the tests are impossible. he doesn't teach that much so who knows what is going to be on the exam

there isn't much you can do if you are a hos major- you pretty much have to take him. He gives attendance grade, but NEVER takes attendence. There are 60 people in the class, and he didn't know my name- but gave me a horrible attendance grade- and I missed 2 classes! I would have had an A if it weren't for that. Tests aren't hard-projects are fun

very jumpy with material, doesn't follow order or the book, weekly quizzes now since too many people were skipping his class last semester. quizzes are all fill in the blank and kind of tough. no exams, and menu project was extensive and you didn't know what to expect. he annialated me and my partner in front of the whole class.

the students in the class knew more than he did abt food and bev management... he taught us to cut and paste to a document one day... cannot teach, but we have to take him as hospitality majors so bring other work with you to class to keep your brain occupied!

Really cool guy, but man does he like to talk! Really seems to care about his students, just make sure he knows you are interested in learning. Probably the best professor I have had so far.
