He is the sweetest old man but he rambles and stays off topic. He's pretty boring but the class is so easy. The book is not necessary and neither is taking notes honestly.

Dr. Carmical is a genius, and does not get the respect he deserves! I admit that his class is difficult. You have to read in order to pass, you don't get the information from his lectures. He will help you if you're struggling, and is truly the sweetest man I have ever met! If you ever see him outside of class, say hey! It makes his day!

Great professor. Some complain that he goes off topic but here's a hint that should be obvious: notes you need he writes on the board before class . You must read assigned material. He does go off topic but honestly his side stories are awesome, just write the notes from the board. He isn't going to give you an A, you have to try. Helps when asked.

Worst professor in the entire department. If you like teaching yourself out of the book and taking tests with multiple choice questions about obscure things about W.E.B. DuBois he's your guy. Expect to sleep in class because he's only going to talk about how "the communists" are "taking over America" EVERYDAY.
