Comment:

She does lectures that do not pertain to the class itself and normally she needs to be fact-checked. She grades fairly but she drove me a little crazy during the whole semester. You need to go to class to pass but you could sleep in class and pass since she doesn't really talk about writing. Also, she is very cryptic.

She was very boring and went off on random tangents, her papers were not necessary when it came to college writing. I didn't learn anything helpful in her class so when I went to English 203 I was clueless I do not recommend.

She really focuses on making you a better writer. She helps aim you for quality and she makes the decisions fun. She's laid back for the most part and you can probably assume she would extend the deadline for an assignment or two.

Comment:

She is nice, caring, and funny in lecture (sometimes a little too goofy), but when it comes to grading papers, she will more than likely give a low A to B+ for a paper you would think deserves an A, she makes you work hard for it. Grading criteria for papers is slightly confusing as it is based on what SHE personally likes, but she means well.

She's very overzealous about her job which is off putting at first, but she is very friendly and a fair grader with your papers. However, some of the time spent in class will feel redundant because her lectures can be a little convoluted or vague. Just put in some effort and this class will be a safe bet.

She's an okay teacher, although this feels more of a high school class rather than college. You will get an A if you go to class but sometimes the classes are so boring that you won't want to go. Very repetitive with her teaching and very random with her stories. Syllabus is very right so don't even look at it.

Mrs. Rickett was very unique. She was a passionate teacher and went out of her way to ensure all students were well prepared for each paper. She was very lenient on the paper topics and let you write about pretty much whatever you want. Be outspoken in this class and she will love you. Make sure you follow her paper format to a T.

She is very unorganized and not clear at all on what she wants us to do. Class is basically high school, extremely boring. Nice teacher, sometimes funny. Means well, but just isn't very clear. It is a very easy A or B. Attendance is for points, so you have to go. Papers are sometimes confusing. If you take her class, you will be very bored.

She is an amazing teacher. Dont be afraid if you have her. Her class is really easy and she helps you through the way. She teaches as a high school class instead of college. The papers are fairly easy. She is sometimes very disorganized and doesnt know what she is talking about. The is a lot of pointless reading. She is good for first semester.

Mrs Rickett is a great english teacher I had her for 103 and 104 and got an A in both classes. I am not fond of english classes either. She does a great job explaining what she wants, is extremely nice, caring, and understanding(just talk to her). All you need to do is express your opinion maybe see her in her office a few times and you got an "A".

she is the best! she cancels class all the time and gives you a lot of time to do your work. dont follow the syllabus she changes it. as long as you email her often and maybe go to her office every once in a while you will do great

She's an awesome yet very disaorganized person. Her paper topics are really easy. She really values "voice" so just share your opinion and you should get a guaranteed A. Like another person said, the handouts she gives can go straight to the trash. She's very easygoing with assigning the due dates. Take her if you want an easy A :).
