I love Loren! She is the best professor I've had! She made my freshmen year so much better. She really cares about everyone and is likable. You have to try not to get an A in her class. Just talk to her and make yourself know and you'll have a great time in her class. She is hilarious and a great professor. Take her class. Its a easy A and its fun.

I love being in Loren's class! She is by far one of the most personal, friendly, and honest professor's I've ever had. She is very comical and out there but that is what makes her so outstanding. I wish she taught more than just 103 and 104 so I could have her more than just twice.

The professor I had. Very helpful and cares a great amount about her students. Works with you when you're struggling and wants the best for her students. Asked to write me a recommendation and she was very glad to do it for me. I would recommend everyone to take her class. Easy A.

Loren is phenomenal! If you get the chance to take a class with her do not miss on this wonderful opportunity. You do learn about english, but you also learn so much more from her. She is such a wild card in an amazing way and she is always inspiring her students. She really made me think about what I was writing and it all came naturally.

Worst class I have ever had. We had to do a huge group paper, and you know one person usually gets stuck doing all the work. Class was totally worthless; she didn't even teach us how to write persuasive papers which is the point of ENG104. We were sent off to try to figure it out ourselves. I feel this woman totally failed me as a teacher.

One of the worst instructors I've ever had. When asked what the difference was between the two papers we had to write this semester she said "oh there isn't any difference" The woman just seems as if she is confused and has lost any touch with the world, but that makes for a poor teacher. I can easily say I never learned a thing from her.

Professor Hecht was extremely helpful with me. She clearly explains all classroom assignments and lectures. She has such an awesome personality and wish I could take another class with her. I recommend her to all!!!

Easiest class I have taken and that I expect to take in college. She is teaching a 104 class with a degree in general education which I find odd and unsuitable for a university education. Unacceptable NIU. All in all, she's a nice lady and has good intentions but is not very knowledgeable in the subject.

Loren easily teaches the easiest English class i've ever taken. She tries to bring out a student's creativity and inspiration. Her intentions are noble, but it turns out the class is extremely simple and many students take advantage of her kindness. Nonetheless, enjoyed her class. Do your assignments and come to class and above all talk to her.

Quite possibly the greatest teacher to teach at this school. She is so laid back and is so easy to win arguments against because she is a college student at heart and understands what we go through. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 100+ points of xtra credit a semester. You better take her!!!!!!

She's a good teacher and she means well, her class is pretty easy, but she inadvertently insults liberals all the time. When she starts preaching conservatism, she really gets into it. Generally, she does make a decent argument, but she ruins it by insulting the left wing people. I found it annoying, and I'm not even liberal.

She is a great teacher, she cares for her students and is not the typical english teacher that assigns paper after paper. She likes to educated her students on life principles, such as, independent thinking--which is why she highly recommends her students read the fountainhead although it is not mandatory.

Dude, she is the most hilarious professors ever. She tells stories in class a lot. And homework is easy as pie. Just write the essays and if you didn't turn it in just tell her. She's pretty chill about things BECOME HER FRIEND trust me on that part. She can be really useful
