I highly recommend Shelby if you are afraid of taking a Sociology class. She mostly does lectures but she also has audience participation. Her lectures are very clear and straight forward and the quizzes are easy if you study her study guides. She is very kind and will not hassle you.

Loved this professor. i changed my major to soc. after taking this class. all the information was very informative and interesting. uses PowerPoint. emails PowerPoint to you before exams. study guides are important to passing the tests. goes over every question on study guide days before exam. very sweet. one paper and one group presentation

Professor Shelby is a wonderful Professor. She is very clear on what she expects. Attendance in her class is a must because little assignments at the end of every class session. She prep the day before the test. Show up, pay attention, and do all the work assigned to you and you will pass.

Mrs. Shelby is super nice. Her grading is very relaxed when it comes to the 2 papers and presentation you do over the semester. And the day before her tests, she'll go over everything you need to study. Also, there isn't really any need to buy a book for her class. She's definately an easy A.

Amazing teacher!!! You never have to bring your book, honesty you don't really have buy the book. She has u write a lot of notes but those notes are what will be on the test. She is funny and makes class fun. Gonna take her sociology 16 class next semester.

she is the sweetest lady ever!! she just makes me smile b/c she's so sweet. her class was so easy, her test were too. as long as you pay attention to her lecture your good...even if you dont, alot of her questions are common sense. the papers were super easy. I recommended her to my friends and they love her!!

yaya she was easy but i like SOC and i ddnt learn a whole lot, that made me mad,the tests were easy, and projects were eay but i wanted to understand the material, not just sit and do group activities. id take her if you needed the class, if SOC is your major, then no way jose.

Sociology 16 was a breeze. Much of the material was informative and intuitive. The class atmosphere was okay. The class projects / presentations were easy, not a big deal. This is a college class. Caveat - if you don't study from the book, you'll most likely receive an C on the exams. Buddy-up with someone and you'll do fine

shes a nice teacher..you will definitely need the book and study on your own because her lectures are EXTREMELY brief. make sure you do well on the essays and the in-class work, take notes and study for the tests on your own and you should do good. overall, smart and nice teacher. class is fun.

She's such a sweetheart! The class is fun and enjoyable. She gives reviews before the test, but it's not thorough so read the book, you'll need it. PAY ATTENTION to the lectures if you dont have the book. THe projects are fun, she's very chill and has a nice sense of humor.

Well lets put it this way. I got an A in the class. I didnt buy the book. I listened to her lectures and took some notes and thats about it. Just do the projects and put some effort into it. I never studied for tests but dont be fooled by that, just take notes during her lectures and you should be fine. Easy B/A :) Good teacher. Chill class, I advi
