I made an account specifically to rate this prof. He was by far the worst teacher I've ever had. When reading the textbook the class seemed interesting. But this prof only talked about his own field work. He lost a students paper, gave us a page limit for a paper, but gave half credit for not making it long enough. awful class. and painfully boring

There was quite a bit of work involved and perhaps excessive reading toward the end but there were only two five page papers. Wohlt knows his stuff though and if you need help with anything he is more than willing to talk with you. He is really great at explaining difficult theory.

He does a very good job of making sure you know what is expected of you. Mainly reading but its only 4 small books. Tests are straight forward and mainly out of the book but a little bit out of lecture. Mainly T/F questions and True and False but there are also Short answer and one Essay on each Test. Class can slow sometimes but not a bad class.

Very into the class & teaching and keeping you interested. If you want to do well pay more attention in class and study class notes. That's what he tests you on, not the textbooks. LIsten to his lectures and you'll do just fine

I thought this class was an enormous waste of my time. And Wohlt did not make it any better. We often sat around the class staring at each other or having our own conversations about nothing that pertained to the class. A common event in the class was to ask us to brainstorm ways to make the anthro dept better... like i said, waste of time.

Got really tired of hearing, "But who cares?" Dr Wohlt is one of those professors who answers every question with a question. I know, I know, "he's trying to make you figure it out for yourself." Sometimes you just want the damn question answered.
