Comment:

I failed my first test after showing up everday. This is where i learned his lectures are a waste of time so dont even come to class. I passed every test after that and only showed when i heard there would be extra credit or a test. He expects a full time college student working 40 hrs a week to read the book 4 hrs a day.

Comment:

Everyone gives him a bad rep but he's a great professor. The difference is he makes you work for it instead of giving you an easy A. If you study and do the practice test you'll be fine. His text are a breeze when you figure out how he teaches. He's very friendly and he always jokes around. Don't skip class! You'll miss alot of material.

Comment:

Professor Yeager is a fantastic professor, one of my favorites on the FSU campus. He is extremely nice, and will help out as much as you need. You will have to work for your grade, and he does not put up with students that miss class constantly, are late often, or are lazy. Show up, do the work, and you will pass the class.

Comment:

Dr. Yeager is a great professor, he will aid, guide, suggest, and inspire. However, the responsibility to learn is up to you as a student. The class involves hard work, and demands intrigue. Spin the material in a way that makes it exciting. Read the book comprehensively! Don't get caught up with in class notes, take notes at home from the book.

Comment:

I had a different professor for lab when I signed but but when I walked through the door the first day, it was him. I have heard nothing but horror stories which all seem to be coming true. Yes, he is better in upper level course but for Bio 1105 or 1106 I recommend taking Huggins, her tests are essay form but easier than Yeager's!!

Dr. Yeager really does get a bad rep. He is a very nice person, and gets very irritated with lazy students that don't show up for class and do not want to read the material. Dr. Yeager is more than helpful if you ask for his help. He really does want everyone to understand the material and get a passing grade.

He is friendly, likes to talk outside of classroom environment. He also comes across as cocky, but he is just really smart. His tests are absolutely ridiculous, I can study for 8 hours or 8 minutes, doesn't matter i'll get the same grade. He is also a really hard grader if you take him for lab.

Dr. Yeager certainly does not deserve his terrible reputation. I didn't love having him for BIOL1105, but it wasn't too bad. He was a WONDERFUL ecology professor. He really made you think. He also helped me out with my senior research project. Great guy

Extremely hard nothing he lectures on is on the tests ( which made me feel like lecture was a waste of my time) . The test are not written very clear. He's also very rude. Unless he is your only option DO NOT take him

Yes, his class is difficult. But, he's really not that bad.I actually think the lab is easier than the lecture, just because his tests are so hard. But he gives opportunities for extra credit, so you have that going for you, too. Sometimes, he doesn't quite answer your questions clearly, but if you ask him again, you should be ok.

His class is very difficult, and so is his lab. Be prepared to study and work hard. one lab project took me 18 Hrs. to complete and it was only worth 40 points. However I feel very prepared for my next Bio class. over all he is a very nice guy and he is def going to push you to work hard, but he was always willing to answer any questions i had

take him if you are willing to study real hard. his lecture is ok but lab is horrible.. all he does is explaing things off the powerpoint thingy in lecture and i dont think you even have to go to class cuz the test is nothing like the stuff from the pp. just take self quizzes and study with those questions on webCT.. that helps more than anything

Do not take this guy unless you HAVE TOO!! He is a dick! He picks on people so bad that it made me feel bad. It was like he did it to build his ego, ****. So i didn't go to the last week of class...study cause his tests are f*ing hard, some answers maybe right, sometimes none, or maybe two, overall hes an ass. Still got a B though...

He was SO hard for bio lab. DO NOT take him unless u want to do work that you have no idea how to do, with no help at all. I always worked very hard, but it was NEVER good enough for him. He is also extrememly rude and makes you feel stupid.

I hated him...he sucked...rude, not helpful at all..if you can take someone else than do it!!!! All i did was study for his class and all i got out of it was a freakin C....he cant teach for crap and his labs are harder than anything ive ever had ....dont take him!!!
