She will sit in silence trying to figure out what she is talking about. Just as others have stated, I felt prepared coming into this class having done well in 225 and she lost me from day one. She is extremely unorganized and I can't believe she is allowed to still teach this class.

Awesome professor that truly cares about all of her students and wants to see them succeed. Although students don't respect her all the time, she still tries her very best to make sure everybody knows the material. If you try in this course, you will not only get a good grade but you'll learn a lot too.

Comment:

The second worst professor I had in Purdue. I passed the STAT225 with high A but totally lost in her class. She made mistakes in her lecture and took long time to correct. Why not take some time to prepare for your class? My best suggestion is get a textbook and finish all the questions there.

I thought that she was a very nice teacher!She was my favorite teacher that i have ever had in college. I thought that she taught her class very well and she had great humor when she taught. She copes with people that are rude, but she is very helpful. She taught lots of things which cant be taught in 3 weeks, and she gave a lots of examples

She's very nice but her class is slow moving and boring. She takes a semester to teach material that could be taught in 3 weeks because she kills class time. If she asks a question you will sit in silence until someone answers it. It gets annoying

Priya is one of my favorite professors at Purdue. She is so personable and really understands the material. Priya is always available to help students and explains things very well. I wish she taught more classes that were part of my degree. I LOVED Priya!

She is the worst professor. Really..she does not teach anything. She might be a good researcher but not a teacher. She is really nice. I am a former alumni and I specifically remember her for not teaching well. Most often she would debate with students about non econ related topics. Please take another class with another professor.

Don't take this class if you're not good at guessing on multiple choice questions. She frequently asks questions from previous books using different terminology and examples you've never heard of. Also, there was a HUGE project only worth 15% of the overall grade but accounted for 50% of the work. Aside from that, she's pretty helpful.

terrible teaching style. spend bulk of class time making lame jokes with the same 3 kids...seriously. started out strong, but did not prepare us for the second exam. creates negative learning environment, plays favorites. does not promote dialogue and asking of questions. basically you get it or you dont. makes u feel like an idiot

I went to this class two times. The entire semester. And I got an A....easily. I was in the top 10% of the entire year...without even taking one of the quizzes. *Yawn* If you're not a retard, you should be able to do well in this class. If you can't, good luck on future classes at Purdue...HA...you might as well go to Ivy Tech right now...b/c this class is pretty goddamn easy.

I love Priya. I think she's the sweetest prof ever with the best attitude and intention. That still doesn't make any difference to the fact she can't teach in a class. She was pretty helpful if you talk to her personally in office hours though.
