This was a special topic class offered by Dr. Ramsey. I strongly suggest taking any class you can with him. To think at this level and converse in such an academic way while analyzing the way you think and the world around you, it is truly a gift. This type of class is what I will remember about my college experience.

I took Dr. Ramsey for Hon 494: Hermeneutics and Fine Painting, as well as his Heidegger: Being and Time graduate class, they were both amazing. The art class is a really fun 1 credit honors class. The Heidegger class is lifechanging! The book in itself is incredible, but with Dr. Ramsey's lectures make it worthwhile. Taking his classes are great!

I love listening to Dr. Ramsey speak. It was this class that made me want to take more of his courses because he completely blew me away with all of his knowledge. I talk to him often! This class can be cool if you read the few articles we have and are genuinely interested in hearing from him. He is really awesome!

Dr. Ramsey loves to have class discussions. He will call on students randomly to ensure that everyone participates so be prepared to answer. Honestly though, if you show up and turn in the one or two assignments he requires it is a guaranteed A.

This class is required if you're an incoming freshman in Barrett, but it's really easy. Basically just show up and participate in the discussions and you'll pass. He gives you the stuff you have to read. But seriously, Dr. Ramsey is amazing, and he's always around to talk to!

I took this class in 1989, during my freshman year at Purdue. 26 years later I still think about this class and Eric. It was amazing and impacted my life in ways that I cannot effectively communicate (irony?). If you are lucky enough to have the chance to take a class taught by him, DO IT. I just went back to college after 20 years and wish I could

Dr. Ramsey is the best professor I have had. He is beyond passionate, and he shows how much he cares for the students with every single interaction. Be prepared to put lots of work into reading, writing, and (this important!) participating in class discussion. But if you are willing to do the work, you will never regret taking one of his classes.

Dr. Ramsey is, without question, the best prof at ASU. I graduated in 2005 and use what I learned from him EVERY day. Recently I have negotiated two business acquisitons and my knowledge of fallacies were instrumental in the negotiations. Learning to properly present an argument is invaluable - personally and professionally. Suck up the knowledge!

Brilliant man. Helped me discover my love of philosophy. Although he is extremely liberal and I am quite opposite it didn't effect how much I loved this class. Do the readings and the rest is socratic style discussions. LOVE this class!! Ramsey is the man!!

Awesome professor. One of the most interesting people I have ever met. As long as you are open to a new perspective you will enjoy his class. Usually very few assignments, a lot of class discussions, and quite a bit of reading (but manageable).

Dr. Ramsey is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. He really changed my views on everything and opened my eyes in this class. I loved reading the unadulterated text rather than overviews and also discussing their meaning with Dr. Ramsey's loved hermeneutic process.

Excellent teacher. One of the few teachers that I enjoyed talking to outside of class and took time out of his schedule to meet privately to discuss what was taught in class. Mr. Ramsey is the best professor on ASU's West Campus.

He is one of the greatest instructors I have ever had. The enthusiasm and passion he expresses in his classes is rare and infectious. His classes are extremely insightful and really make you think not only about the readings, but also about life and the world around you. Though the concepts may be hard to grasp, he does a great job of explaining.
