He's incredibly nice and will take a personal interest if you show promise. The tests and papers are graded harshly. Be prepared to memorize entire ancient city plans.

Very few tests, but ones given are difficult. Tons of information!! Professor lectures entire time, every day. Many people/places/dates to remember. Had to take tons of notes!! I like the guy, but it was difficult.

Fitts is one of the best professors here at Dickinson. He's funny, entertaining, brilliant, and very interested in his students. He is genuine and I actually looked forward to attending his Catullus course each day.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER. he takes in interesting topic and completely ruins it. he doesn't teach he just shows you slides and expects you to remember a million different details about a million different buildings. He's never available for help and trust me, you'll probably need it.

If you come to class and take notes you should be good. The readings seem tedious but u should do them for the sake of the final. Only 2 tests, 1 take home, and 1 paper. Not too bad. Really interesting guy, i love going to this class.

Names, names, names, names, names! Augh and they're all Roman people. Gaius Flavius Forgeticus. I suppose I should have expected it, but unless you happen to have been a Roman Tax collector in a former life (implying an aptitude with Roman names) you will no doubt struggle in remembering information

He is a wealth of knowledge but his classes are ONLY lecture. No class discussion at all. Gives only 2 tests a year which contain ALL the info he taught b4. Be prepaired to take at least 4 pages of notes a day in class
