Comment:

Professor Golland gives a clear list of assignments due at the start of the course and actually sticks with it. There is never a surprise assignment. She is very accessible and always willing to help. As much as I dislike english, she made her class interesting. She also downloaded everything we would need so we didn't have to buy the book.

Very passionate about what she does. She gives a lot of homework but as long as you do it and don't fool around in her class, you'll be fine. She is extremely helpful with feedback and dedicates time around YOUR schedule to meet for extra help. I would HIGHLY recommend taking her, she is one of the kindest professors I've had!

honors english for freshmen. she's really sweet and genuinely cares. very relatable and as long as you do what she asks of you, you all be fine. keep up with the work and you should get an A.

Comment:

One of the BEST English professors I have worked with. She really loves what she does and that positive energy transfers to the students. Her class is always interesting and you leave with something new to think about. She gives about 3 papers a semester and she will help you from start to finish so you see an improvement in your writing! :)

Prof. Golland is a fantastic educator, adept at passing on her wealth of knowledge in a way that helps students retain the information and at teaching them to think critically. She improved my writing tremendously and I'm forever grateful to her for that. She's also a great person, always taking an interest in students' lives beyond the classroom!

Students either love or hate her. You can either find her to be extremely funny and intelligent, or a teacher who gets way into her work and picky when it comes to grading papers. The readings are actually interesting and essential to passing. She is a tough grader on papers, usually around 3 a semester. Students really suck up to her.

She is a great professor, one of the best english professors at STAC. She expects a certain number of reading responses to be completed by the end of the semester. These reading responses are not difficult to do. If you engage in class discussions, and show up to class on time, you wont have a problem!

She is one of the most level headed and decent people to ever teach. A great English teacher, but make sure you do the readings which aren't that bad anyway, so you can write a good essay. She was the best English teacher I had in all my college years. She's a great teacher, and a great person. Don't cheat, she'll catch you. Wish her all the best!
