I don't care what anyone says, this is not the easiest science class possible. There's no book, his notes make no sense, and he has a super thick accent so he's impossible to understand. His lectures never line up with the in class activities and his tests are ridiculously hard. AVOID HIM.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. He is hard to understand and does not understand when you try to ask questions. He always leaves the room during class and doesn't come back for a long time. He does not help during the activities. There are no clear topics of studying. All you do is group activities and the tests are ridiculous.

He clearly knows his stuff, but he doesn't explain things well when you have questions. He leaves the lab occasionally for extended periods of time, so you're basically on your own during his labs. Grading on labs is inconsistent and unclear at best.

I think I would have gotten as much help in the class from a pile of dirt as I did from him. He will answer questions, but in a very condecending way. The only benefit to having him is that you can go in early and finish everything. This is because he literally says nothing the entire class period, so you don't need to worry about missing info.

this professor expect you to know the first time he teachs the material. he asks "does anyone have question?" if you do and ask he argues with you and doesn't wait until you question is finish. not a very useful teacher if you are a science major. he's hard to understand too!

Thank god he only teaches the lab because I am already struggling with the lecture portion with a teacher that is actually good and cares about you! This guy leaves the room for long periods of time, gets mad at you if you don't understand something when you explain it the first time, and you can't understand what he's saying because of his accent.

Do not take him, unless you are a genius. I have mixed feelings about him: he has some qualities of a good instructor, and some are absolutely terrible! If you ask a ques.: sometimes he yells and belittles, and sometimes he is really nice & helpful so, you never know. Even students who were brilliant in math hated him as a prof.

I recommend doing your homework it helps in this course. You will not receive partial credit very easiy on tests. If you have the wrong answer then it is completely wrong. Dr. J is not that bad though ask him questions but listen to him!

AWFUL! Completely inconsiderate and downright rude. Don't ask him ?s or you WILL get yelled at. Very hard to follow, will erase a circle on board and starting writing formulas in it so you don't know what is going on. I never took physics in high school so maybe that makes a difference - an entry level class should not be as hard as he makes it!

He is a hard professor, but physics is hard. He's very smart. He loves participation (he knows your are paying attention then. Exams were very difficult and class average usually under 50, but he also ended up curving or letting us retake it.Attendance isn't taken but mandatory to do good. Overall, not bad prof if u have to take physics.

from india...difficult to understand. participate and he will like you. do well on his exams (very difficult) and he will love you. yells a lot. doesn't really grade anything. curves like crazy but class average is usually under 50%. he said the grade doesn't matter but it DOES if you want to go to grad school!! don't sleep or talk during class.

Very good professor. He really makes you think and understand the material during the class and on exams. His exams are rather difficult, but he grades them accordingly.

Explains well and repeatedly. Works examples on the board in details and clears the student's doubts very well. asks for questions from the students all the time. Helps outside the class when a student goes to him in the room across. A very good professor indeed. there are some dunder heads in the class.

i was excited to take this class until class began. there is no structure to his classes. when i tried to ask him a question, he yelled at me saying i should know. if he would only be more helpful then i would have found the class more enjoyable. and watch out when he gets his coffee, bring earplugs! my advice...take physics at a different school.
