Comment:

This teacher was one of the worst teachers I've had in my experience in college. Honestly, this class discusses no political ideas that are contemporary in the slightest, and your opinion almost always gets denied. Your opinion is generally irrelevant to someone else's opinion, the papers are way too much and convoluted.

Honestly the worst professor I have come across at UT. Her classes are not enjoyable and the requirement to sit in a circle is patronizing. She refuses to consider perspectives outside her own and many students at the end of the semester feel dejected, wishing they had taken something else. I regret taking her class.

Amazing professor. The reading materials are very dense & difficult, but she's very helpful & the class discussions are very interesting & thought-provoking. She's a tough grader, but her feedback is very helpful & will help improve your writing. She really cares about students and their success. Would definitely recommend taking a class with her.

She is an amazing professor, the best I've had so far. Her lectures are always so interesting. She does demand a lot of work and expects you to write good papers and participate. Don't take it if you have no interest in politics. She is so understanding and will help you out during office hours with no hesitation.

Comment:

Dr. Heberle does a fantastic job teaching the Inside/Out Prison course at Toledo Correctional Institution. The nature of the course does lead to unclear expectations, semi-flexible deadlines, and absolutely necessary attendance and class participation. However tough, I wouldn't want to take this course with anyone but this professor.

Dr. Heberle is not an easy teacher. She demands a lot of work and loves assigning writing assignments. Do not take her class if you are not interested in the subject or are looking for an easy A. Take her class if you want to improve your writing skills and want to be challenged to learn more about the particular subject.

She is a super tough prof. She is an amazingly intelligent woman and very likable but she can sometimes make you feel inferior due to your lack of knowledge. She is a fair grader and as long as you are willing to bust your butt off you can recieve a good grade. TONS OF READING!!!

Fair and just. Strongly encourages classroom participation and discussion. You will have LOTS of readings each week. Always available to do office hours and give extra feedback and advice. Do not come her class unprepared, or make rude/disrespectful comments. If you make an outlandish statement, be sure you can back it up using the readings.

Dr. Heberle is a fair instructor. Very knowledgeable and willing to help those who help themselves. Warning: there is lots of reading in her courses, and you cannot BS your way through. Her courses are all theory-based, so if you are into political theory, this is the class for you. Do not be disrespectful in her class, she will correct you.

Nice instructor overall, makes you read a lot. The reading she picks are nonsense. Full of socialistic ideals and very "Class oppressive" orientated. Took too long to say very little in the long tun. Thought my ideas were crap one week then used them as her own examples a few weeks later! Did not care about my grade, all I needed were the credits.

One of the most competent teachers in the department! anyone who bashes her simply has no desire to learn! Is She Easy, No! but if you want your education to mean something take her courses. A big mistake taking this teacher. Diffucult teacher whose personality is worse than her teaching abilities...that's saying a lot. I can't say I know one student that like's her...She's rude, mean, biased, arrogant, thinks of herself as a great intellectual, and is overall full of hoarse crap. Reading and writing intensive.

I took her class "contemporary political ideas." She is one of the best professors here at UT. She is very well read, open to all views, and is a critical thinker. She cares for her students, provides construstive criticism, and wants her students to improve in their writing skills, and critical thinking skills. I highly recommend her. She is great
