Funny, quirky,easy going guy. Didn't know the course material well and somehow ended up with a C+ so I recommend him if you're looking for an easy marker. Prob not the best teacher but he will make sure that you do ok in his class. Spanish enthusiasts may be better off with another prof but he's good for ppl who just need to get their language cred

Prof. Hillson is a nice guy and can be funny in lectures, but It seemed as if he wasn't really interested in teaching us. he could be really impatient at times and relied on the textbook a little too much in my opinion, but not bad as a first year spanish prof. just make sure you don't fall behind and prepare for each lecture and you'll do fine.

This guy's personality is hilarious! Energetic and always makes me laugh. Nice sense of humor and super cool guy, wish I could have una cerveza fría with him one of these days. You absolutely know what to expect for the exams and he tries his best to make sure you know your stuff. Textbook is overpriced so make sure you buy it second-hand.

Marking is fair. He really wants you to do well and as long as you put in the effort he will help you. His teaching methods are a little odd but that makes class more interesting. Too much English for a 2nd year Spanish course but overall an effective prof. It's a Span class, not Philosophy. People need to relax and not over think.

Hillson is a great proff, spanish 111/112 are extreamly hard courses though and definitly will hurt your average. If you take it though hillson gives marks on exams for nothing and really trys to make the student do well. pretty much impossible to fail but extreamly hard to do well.

Richard is a nice teacher who wants you to do well, but for me, he was sometimes confusing and intimidating. If he asks you a question, and you don't know it, he'll look at you as if u were the dumbest person. And he's not clear on what he wants on his assigments. However, exams were easy.

An awesome teacher. Totally takie his class if you want a prof who actually cares for the students. Avacado! Using permenent pens of white erase boards! Useless but hilarious Seinfield like dialog. How he tells his goose story. I hate goose. Show up and enjoy his class. Noone else like him

everyone agrees: Richard IS the latino/caribbean Kramer (Sienfeld TV character)!!!!Hilarious, kinda tall/lanky guy. He is a great teacher on top of his awesome attidude. will go above and beyond his job to make sure you pass or do well. makes the class go by quickly... i don't know what else to say, he's a flippin sweet prof, TAKE his class.

He can be pretty funny in class and there's always a lot of laughing during those two hours, which,I will admit,can seem like forever at times.The first exam wasn't bad at all and he really explains things well.And he really is spanish! Take it with him!
