Comment:

Dew is very enthusiastic and seems to be prepared for class. He may know his stuff, but has a hard time explaining it to others. Honestly he's just not a teacher. Also, when called on in class, he just doesn't seem to understand what people are trying to say. Assignments are always ambiguous and expectations are unclear.

not a fan. he's got favorites and he thinks he's the****. did not learn a damn thing lol. it's possible that he knows what he's doing in the field, although... but he's not a teacher. he seemed so cool in the beginning then just turned out to be disappointingly fake.

Dew is a great prof. He really knows what he is talking about and explains it well. He picks really good movies to watch that are filled with examples of what is learned in the class. Take a class from him if you can.

He is a fun and cool guy. He makes the class very open to discussion, so be prepared to particpate. His lectures are basic and the class material is easy if you are a film major. His tests are not very difficult. He is also obsessed with a video store called Vidiots

Dew is certainly excited about what he teaches. His lecture method is very concise and easily understandable. Plus, its great to see his outfits from day to day, lets just say hes creative with his style and excellent at sound effects.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS if you are not a film major! He assumes that everyone in the class loves watching and making movies as much as he does and that everyone has prior knowledge of the subject matter and vocab. If you ask for help, he just insults your writing. Plus, he grades very subjectively.

Great guy and a great class. Dresses funky, but his passion for movies rubs off on you. He shows a wide variety of films. The essays we have done so far have been really basic (2 pages max) and the midterm was a breeze.
