Doesnt take attendance,but you definitely need to go otherwise you will miss what's on the quiz!Meets only ONCE a week and the other day you take quiz online(get harder each time)Exam was online.Take every opportunity for credit because at the end you'll need it!Really nice guy and very passionate but very boring class!SAVE quizzes thats the final!

The nicest guy--You will find that in his class you are enjoying yourself as well as learning...All you have to do is take the the class the least bit seriously (i.e., an expectation of basic professional behavior--being there well-prepared, punctual, present in classroom discussion, and generally just thinking about the subject matter.) Good Prof!

Rather easy class, really didnt show up, but wrote a Kid Cudi paper and got a 91, averaged in the 80's on the last 2 exams (he does curve up 4 points), got a 74 on the first exam, only reason i didnt get an A out of the class... you do want to go and take notes, or atleast find someone who goes and will take good notes.

Comment:

Brookey was a good teacher. He was a really good lecturer, paced the classroom and talked while students copy down the slides. My class had over 200 students so it was not personal at all (and TAs grade your term paper) but he gives review guides before each test and the questions are straightforward. I just wish I had him in a smaller class.

I'm not sure whether it was the fact that the class was at 8am, or if the material was just super boring. He was really nice. He gives you study guides that have the same questions as the test. I would recommend him... Just not at 8:00 in the morning

Easiest class you can probably take at NIU... dont completely blow this class off. just get whatever work you need done and take you A. class is packed because just about everyone knows its and easy class, so if ur gona take it, add it to your schedule ASAP... Mr. Brookey is a good instructor for the class, have fun.

One of the best professor's I have had! Everything is clearly explained and he even hands out test questions the week before each exam. It's always better to go to his class to get down your own interpretation of what he says, but if you have a friend then you can take some much needed "sick" days!

Hes a pretty funny teacher, I enjoyed going to his class.You get to watch Scream, Ugly Betty,and listen to music! Only thing is to GO TO CLASS, b/c he only gives the notes during class. Try ur best 2 write down the important points of his lecture, he'l often repeat so you get it. You'll also have to write a paper. DO HIS STUDY GUIDE(it's the test!)

This class is super easy. There are two test (which he gives you the exact questions for) and 1 paper. Don't buy the book, you only use it to do the essay, which is easy, anyways. Lectures were interesting but make sure you write down everything on the slides. I would highly recommend this class & this professor.

His lectures are interesting. Make sure you take notes and pay attention and you should be fine. The class is layed back and low key. Dont bother with the book you only need it for the esay, but he tells you what you need any way.

Best professor in Comms. Very fair, go to class, write down what he says. You get an A. He gives you 30 questions, 25 are the test, only way you will have answers is to write beyond what he puts on slides. Energetic and makes class interesting.

This class is awesome! Brookey's kind of nerdy, but he really know shis material, and he doesn't just teach off his power points. The material mostly relates to pop culture, and the tests are taken verbatim from the review sheet. He grades a little harshly on papers, but this class requires so little effort you should be ashamed if you fail it.

He seems like a nice guy most of the time but if you wish to argue one of his answers he'll totally block you out and not listen, its very immature. He's knowledgeable but he just doesnt listen to students at all...only take him if you have to.

Go to class eventhough it is not required. Take good notes. People say the tests are easy but when I hear easy I expect to get an A. I ended up with a B because of the tests. I believe he is very opinionative on the tests when he grades. One one test he crossed off something like minus 6 and put a minus 10 in its place, not cool. Project easy
