If I could take a class again with Professor Cooney I would not even doubt it twice to do so!! It is so hard to find good professors that love what they do and this shows in the way he teaches it! He will not only make you understand each topic but answer all curious questions as well as making everybody engaged with his class! funny/ respectful!

Awesome teacher, interesting & enjoyable lectures, super entertaining, and he makes great sound effects. Makes the course content enjoyable the entire semester using real life and extreme examples. 80% of your grade is from 2 exam's and the rest is HW and attendance, but the exams were online. If you need to take a Law class take Professor Cooney!

Comment:

Best professor! Lectures are really interesting and important. Take good notes, and you'll do great on his tests. Explains things super clearly, with great examples, and he makes the class interactive. Definitely would take him again.

quality professor and a real nice dude. but his exams were hard and consisted of 80% of ur final grade. tests had 10 T/F 17 MC and 2 essay questions. half the questions were worded to where it can be any possible choice, and in the T/F he tried to trick you. im a junior and got my lowest grade in college in this class (B-)i did learn a lot but hard

Great professor. It is obvious that he is a very intelligent man and is definitely someone you can ask questions to. Law can sometimes be tough, so questions is a must. Very patient and will work with you. In our semester, the final and another exam was online, but we got lucky because he apparently does not do that much.

Best and nicest Law teacher at Willy P. If you have the choice to take him over Bing, do so. Bing is a good teacher but Cooney is by far way less stressful and easy going. You are going to have to take good notes and participation/attendance matters. Graded on the online homework which is easy a midterm and final. Will take him in the summer for 2

I took professor Cooney's Business Law class at Passaic County Community College and he is by far one of my favorite professors. He really cares about making sure that his students understand the material and is always willing to give extra help when needed. His lectures are interesting and he does a great job of relating cases to the concepts.

By far the best professor for Law. Wish he taught Law II in the spring. Great teacher explains everything very well and engages with class. Reviews for exams are great. Easy A in my opinion

hes the man, wish more professor's taught like Cooney. go to class, take notes very well. if you have good notes and attend lectures, you will do more than fine on his two exams. awesome professor. he articulates and explains things so clearly.

Really great professor, makes law incredibly interesting, and is a really good guy. He doesn't give a lot of work, you can skip classes, and he'll help you out if you need it. I highly reccomend this professor!

He only gave two test. The final and midterm, both online. You will have to go to class to pass but that is okay because he is very entertaining and knows how to keep students interested. Lectures are not long and lets students participate. He has great background stories to put into the lectures. Would take again.

Comment:

Professor Cooney cares for his students. He gives two test which are online and some extra credit assignments if you ask for it. The homework assignments are relatively easy as you can keep doing them until you get 100%. Take good notes and you should do well in this class. I would definitely take a class with him again.

You must go to class and take notes. He speaks fast so try and write down as much as possible because most of it will be on the tests. He will repeat a lot of it until everyone understands it. Both the midterm and the final are online but they are pretty tough. There are online chapter assignments as well as 5 case briefs that you must submit.

Very good at teaching, which can mean a lot. He is always prepared to teach the class, and if you were to read through the text before he teaches the lesson you will be very prepared. Most of the hw is done online, and it is important to go to class to be able to take his exams. Exams are taken online. I believe there are 2.

Seems like an easy class but I took notes from exactly what he said and still did poorly on the exams. Such a nice guy but the exams were just way too hard I would suggest a different professor

Man what can I say. Easily one of the best professors at WP. There is a midterm and a final that you take online. One or two case briefs (they are hella easy...like literally takes no brain). Attendance is mandatory. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. If I didn't miss classes I would've gotten at least a B+ but he gave me a B- which is fine.

Just finished his summer course. Professor Cooney is a really good guy. He knows what he's talking about, and really seems to enjoy his work. He's a fair grader, and doesn't bog you down with work. Just read your text book, and pay attention to his lectures (which are interesting) and you'll do well!
